Petal Palette Anniversary

Hello Stampers! I have an Anniversary Card for you today. I love this card. I used the stamp set Petal Palette which was just retired.  😦

Both the flowers and the bird are “popped up”.  I used Stampin’ Blends to color in the leaves, flower and bird. I’m lovin’ those Blends!

This Mint Macaron cardstock makes a beautiful background with the Tranquil Textures DSP.

The inside sentiment is also from Petal Palette on a piece of Whisper White cut out with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Petal Palette

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Tranquil Textures DSP

Accessories – Petals More Thinlits, Rectangle Stitched Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Stampin’ Blends

Hope you enjoyed seeing today’s card. I enjoyed making it and the ladies in my classes also enjoyed making it.

Until next time…Happy Stamping!     Donna

Flourishing Congratulations

Hello Stampers!  The season is upon us with Weddings and Anniversaries coming up so I have a card which can be used for either one.

I did use Springtime Florals DSP from last year’s Sale-A-Bration. I accumulated so much of it because I fell in love with this paper! It just makes this simple card so elegant. I still have a lot of this DSP left even after using it in two classes! I REALLY like it! 🙂

I think the silver and gold is just beautiful. The cut out flourish really adds to the overall effect.

I added a strip of the DSP down the side of the inside with a lovely sentiment.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Floral Phrases

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper- Whisper White, Springtime Florals DSP, Gold Foil

Accessories – Flourish Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Dies, 1/8″ Gold Ribbon

I must admit I did make a few of these cards – you never know when you need a wedding (not so much these days) or an anniversary card. The ladies in my classes liked this card too.

In this view you can see the little strip of DSP inside.

Hope you enjoyed seeing this card and maybe you’ll try it with whatever DSP you have on hand. Be Creative!

Until next week…Happy Stamping!     Donna

Elegant Anniversary Card

Hello dear Stampers! Today I have a simple but elegant Anniversary card I made for my daughter and son in law. They are celebrating their 11th year of marriage.

I used the new Tufted Embossing Folder for the background with dots of Dazzling Details at each vertex.

I used the framelit from the Stitched Labels Framelits set to make this lovely greeting. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to “pop” it up. My color grouping is Coastal Cabana, Pool Party and Whisper White.

The simple message inside says Congratulations and I wrote a personal message.

I hope you enjoyed this card and will consider using these new products.

Butterfly Basics Anniversary Card

Hello Dear Stampers! My husband and I recently celebrated our 48th Wedding Anniversary so I made this card for him. Once again it’s a CASE from another demo, Sonya Wilkes. I guess I shouldn’t look at all the demo cards because I fall in love with them. What can I say…there’s no need to reinvent the wheel!

Sonya did her card in pinks but I didn’t think my husband would appreciate that so I went with Marina Mist. I also changed the sentiment.

I loved the detail of the different stamps and I always love a butterfly addition.

I really like this inside sentiment and I also wrote my own message below it.

The pearls always add to the body of the butterfly.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Butterfly Basics, Timeless Love

Ink – Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Garden Green

Paper – Marina Mist, Whisper White

Accessories – Butterflies Thinlits, Pearls

Thank you to Sonya Wilkes for the inspiration to make this great card!

Be back soon, until then…Happy Stamping!

Donna

Timeless Love

Hello Stampers. Hope this greeting finds you all in good health. This seems to be the season for anniversaries so today I have a very pretty anniversary card for you. (My husband and I are celebrating our 48th tomorrow May 9.)

I’m very happy with the way this card turned out. The doily adds the wedding like touch therefore this card could be used as a wedding card too. Actually…for almost any occasion if you just change the sentiment. I like to use color on color for backgrounds and the word “congratulations” worked out great. The circle is popped up. The vellum is not plain…it has a little flower pattern to it (retired).

This is a great sentiment from the Timeless Love Stamp Set. This whole card was done using only that set. Unfortunately it will be retiring on June 1. (If you like it, get it now!)

That little sprig of flowers colored with markers really adds to the inside as well as the envelope.

The pearls look as though they are holding the banner in place and also add a little bling.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Timeless Love

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black, Soft Sky

Paper  – Soft Sky, Whisper White

Accessories – Doily, Layering Circles Framelits, Vellum, Pearls, Stampin’ Write Markers (Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette, Old Olive, Soft Sky)

This is a lovely stamp set and it makes very pretty cards. Hope you enjoyed seeing my creation.

Until my next post…Happy Stamping!

Anniversary Love Birds

Hello my dear stampers/crafters…once again I apologize for not getting some regular posts out to you. I think I have a few ready to get back into the swing of things.

Today I’m sharing a card we made in the May class themed Anniversary and Wedding. I just love our “retired” Bird Builder Punch and they make perfect little love birds.

Love Birds 1

The inside simply states “Happy Anniversary”.  The Lovely Lace Embossing Folder makes a beautiful background.

Love Birds 2

You’ll notice I used the retired Curvy Corner Trio Punch. This is one punch I can’t let go. Almost all my class participants either had it or bought it before it actually retired. We all LOVE it.

Products used:

Stamp Sets – Express Yourself (retired)

Ink – Island Indigo

Paper – Whisper White, Island Indigo, Wild Wasabi, Regals DSP stack

Accessories – Bird Builder Punch (retired), Lovely Lace Embossing Folder, Curvy Corner Trio Punch (retired)

A fun card to make that was well received. Try it!

Until my next blog (Wedding Wishes) …

Happy Stamping!

Botanical Flowers

I’m up and running again. I know you were getting used to seeing a new card every two days then everything stopped. Sorry about that. I finally got a new computer and it took my personal IT guy (my husband) a bit of time to get all my “stuff” in order. I think I’m good to go now. 🙂

My husband and I took two cruises back to back so I scheduled blog posts to appear while we were gone. We took a Transatlantic from Miami first. After 8 days at sea we docked in Tenerife, Canary Islands. Next ports were  – Spain:  Malaga, Cartagena & Barcelona (2 days); France:  Nice; Italy:  Livorno (Florence & Pisa) and ended in Rome. While new passengers got on board we took an excursion in the Tuscan countryside and did some olive oil tasting. Second cruise was Italy, Greece and Turkey. We left Rome then Santorini, Athens, Mykonos, Kusadasi and Bodrum (Turkey) then Crete, Naples and back to Rome. We spent 3 days in Rome before heading home. We were gone for 30 days which we decided was a long time to be away from home but we did love every minute and we were NEVER bored.

Since returning things have been crazy. Our daughter and three grandchildren missed us bunches so we have spent time with them (while their dad is deployed) and also with my 93 year old mother who is doing just great but loves our visits as often as possible.

Thank you for sticking with me. I appreciate your loyalty.

Here’s a card that can be used for so many occasions. I made it as an anniversary card but the gals in my class used all different sentiments:

Anniversary Flowers 1

I love this set of stamps and framelits! Botanical Blooms Stamp Set and Botanical Builder Framelits. I also decided to use some of our retiring colors and I’m very happy with this combination.

Anniversary Flowers 2

The actual color of the flowers is Calypso Coral and Hello Honey. They look different because of the sponging.

Products Used:

Stamp Sets – A Dozen Thoughts (Retired)

Ink – Lost Lagoon, Calypso Coral, Hello Honey

Paper – Lost Lagoon, Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Hello Honey, Old Olive, Basic Black

Accessories –  Botanical Builder Framelits

Hope you like this card and please feel free to CASE it (Copy and Share Everything).  I’m hoping to get back to at least one or two posts of new cards each week.

Happy Stamping!

Anniversary Card

My daughter and son in law celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary yesterday but my husband and I celebrated with her and the grandchildren since her husband is deployed with the Marines. Only once has he been home for their anniversary – the life of the military!

I made this special card for them.

T Anniversary 1

I did use some retired products because there are some I just can’t part with!T Anniversary 2
