Fancy Fun Fold – 2 Versions

Hello Stampers!

Today I have two cards made the same but with different embellishments. I had so much fun making these cards. I made both cards and envelope flaps from one piece of 12 x 12 DSP. As I have mentioned in past posts I’m trying to use up retired DSP and I’m having so much fun being creative. I have a lot of photos for you today.

The directions for the fold were given in my May 15, 2020 Tri-fold Friendship Card.

I turned the card so that it opens horizontally.

Using all the same paper I now turned so that the card reads vertically. I also changed up the embellishments.

The daisies kind of shine because I used Shimmery White cardstock.

Here’s another look at both cards…

I hope you are finding time to be creative. I really like this fold and it’s all so easy.

Take care! Happy Stampining!    Donna

Double Z-Fold Sunflowers

Hello Stampers!

Today I have a sneak peek at one of the new stamp set & die bundles coming to you on June 3, 2020!

I am crazy about this bundle since I love sunflowers! I played around with this bundle and this is what I came up with…

I actually used So Saffron cardstock and stamped the sunflower on it and then used both the light and dark Stampin’ Blends to highlight the flower. I think I’ll go back and do the same with the leaves to make them have more depth.

Here’s a close up. I’m thinking of doing another sunflower card and fussy cut the layers of the flower. Time consuming but I bet it will be gorgeous.

Here are the cutting directions to make a Double Z-Fold card:

Base – 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″

Inside fold – 3 x 9 3/4″, score at 2 3/4″ x 5 1/2″

DSP – parenthesis shows number of pieces  (2) 2 1/2″ x 4″      (1) 4″ x 5 1/4″

Whisper White – (1) 2 3/4″ x 4″     (2) 2 1/2″ x 2 3/4″

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Celebrate Sunflowers (available on June 3, 2020)

Ink – Early Espresso

Paper – Early Espresso, Whisper White, So Saffron, Pear Pizzaz, Botanical Gardens DSP (R)

Accessories – Sunflowers Dies (available on June 3, 2020), Stampin’ Blends

Hope you enjoyed this card. I’ll be sharing other sneak peeks of new items. I’m having so much fun going through my retired DSP and the new items I pre-ordered.

Until next time…Happy Stamping!     Donna

Tri-Fold Friendship Card

Hello Stampers! I hope all of you are in good health. We are all missing our card classes but we can hope that some day soon we’ll all be able to gather to make cards. In the meantime…get creative! Another demo says “make a card, send a card” and I think that’s a great idea.

I had hoped to make a new sneak peek card with products from the new Annual Catalog but my order still hasn’t arrived. I’ll have one for sure next week!

Several local stampers have already picked up the new catalog from my house (I leave it in a bag outside). It is fun to go through and make your Wish List (included in each catalog).

My card today was inspired by my upline, Peggy Noe. Always remember in Stampin’ Up! we all believe in Copy and Share Everything (CASE) as long as you give credit to your inspiration or who you totally copied from. 🙂

I found this card format is great to use up DSP scraps. I used Lily Impressions DSP for this card.

This is the card fully opened with the sentiment on the back panel.

Here’s a close up of sentiment and Belly Band.

Directions to make this card:

Base – 5 1/2″ x 12″   Score at 4 1/4″; 7 1/4″; 10 1/4″

Belly Band – 1″ x 12″

DSP – 1st panel – 4″ x 5 1/4″; Panels 2 & 3 – 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″; Panels 4 & 5 – 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″

Last panel sentiment piece (placed close to fold) 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″

Your Friendship Card

Hello Stampers!

We’re pretty much back to “normal” LOL!

I have a card for you today that is sooo versatile. Next week I’ll have a similar one but a bit different. I love this Fun Fold.

I made this card for a friend who helped my husband and I out during our weeks with the virus,

You can see it’s a pretty neat fold of DSP attached to a piece of cardstock. Love it!

I like putting the sentiment on an angle…no worries about centering it! 🙂 Plenty of room to write a nice message.

Close-up of last page for message.

Directions:

DSP cut 5 1/4″ x 11 3/4″, score at 1 3/4″, 4 3/4″ and 7 3/4″

Accordion fold and attach to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ cardstock

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Free As A Bird

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral

Paper – Bird Ballad DSP, Pineapple Punch, Whisper White

Accessories – Label Me Lovely Punch

Here’s another card I made using same paper but different sentiments.

If you have a lot of full sheets of DSP this is a great fold to make two cards from each sheet.

Once you make this card you will be hooked. Inspiration from Patty Bennett & Fold Idea from Amy Combs.

Stay healthy and safe!

Happy Stamping!   Donna

Ornate Daisy Card

Hello Dear Stampers!

Life is good…both my husband and I are out of isolation and quarantine. We are both recovering nicely from the dreaded Covid-19. We are excited to go to Costco today and get a whole pizza! We have been thinking about a Costco pizza for 2 months! It’s crazy what you crave when you can’t get out!

Today I have an adorable card using the new Ornate Garden DSP and Ornate Layers Dies. I’m in love with those dies! I got this inspiration from Amy Koendors. I’ll be using that paper and the dies a LOT!

Isn’t this card so bright and cheery! I also stamped the small daisy on the envelope. You’ll also notice I left a 1/4″ space around the DSP rather than the usual 1/8″. I wanted to have a wider boarder.

I carried the DSP into the inside of the card with a 1/2″ strip of DSP. I love how this card turned out. I got too excited to send this card so I signed it before I had a chance to take photos! LOL

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Peaceful Moments, Daisy Lane

Ink – Early Espresso

Paper – Early Espresso, Whisper White, Ornate Garden DSP

Accessories – Ornate Layers Dies, Old Olive Ribbon, Small Daisy Punch

I plan to use this layout over again…I love it!

Hope you consider purchasing items from the Ornate Suite…they are fabulous!

Stay healthy and safe. That virus is a nasty one!

Happy Stamping!   Donna
