Birthday Camellias

Greetings Stampers! Today we are using the wonderful Calming Camellia stamp set which was a Host special.

Here’s the first card I did with the flowers sponged. I wasn’t too crazy about how the color ran into the leaves so I tried Blends and it looked better. Next I just used the Soft Sea Foam and no other color…very rich and vintage looking. The bee adds a bit of nature to the design.

This is the card with no color to the flowers. Can you see the texture from the Embossing Folder?

Here is the inside with just a bit of the Camellia peeking in the corner.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Calming Camellias

Ink – Soft Sea Foam, Gold, Pale Papaya, So Saffron

Paper – Soft Sea Foam, Basic White

Accessories – Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, Bouquet of Love Dies, Encircled in Beauty Dies, Brushed Brass Butterfly

This design was inspired by Amy K. The gals in my card class really liked it. Any floral stamp can be used for this type of design.

Until next time…Happy Stamping!

Birthday Tulip Delight

Greetings Stampers!

I’ll be sharing six new Birthday creations for the next six weeks. Today’s card is quick and easy but oh so delightful!

Here’s the whole card and I’ll focus on the details. This is the card you need when you are in a hurry. Change the sentiment and you have a card for any occasion.

Since this is a birthday card I chose the stamp set “Happiest of Birthdays” for the inside sentiment. Love this font and what it says.

Here’s a close-up of a VERY simple way to fill in space. I used my Score Board to make 3 simple lines of varying length. I’m very happy with the way it turned out.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Delicate Dahlias, Happiest of Birthdays

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Basic White, Black, Flowering Fields DSP

Accessories – Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch

This DSP is so beautiful! The three different pieces make this card so appealing.

Hope you enjoyed my quick and easy card and will try one yourself. Be sure to send me a photo via email and I’ll post your card and you will be my guest stamper!

I will try my best to schedule cards for the next five weeks. We will be traveling and I’ll do my best.

Until my next post…Happy Stamping!

Pretty Bunny

Hello Stampers! I have one more Easter Card for you today. You will actually see two versions of the same card.

Here’s our little bunny friend with a Pacific Point background.

A nice close-up. I tried to leave the little scalloped border but as you can see my grass went over the border at the bottom.

Here’s Version 2 using some 6″ x 6″ DSP. I also did a better job on keeping the little white border. I actually curved it up a bit.

Stampin’ Up Products Used:

Stamp Set – Easter Friends

Ink – Crumb Cake, Balmy Blue, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen

Paper – Basic White, Pacific Point, Perfectly Artistic DSP

Accessories – Melon Mambo Taffeta Ribbon, Scalloped Contours Dies

This stamp set is so cute and you will have so much fun with these little animals. Do give this card a try!

Until my next post…Happy Stamping!

Pop Up Easter Card

Hello Stampers! Today I have my second Easter card for you. This card was a big hit in my classes. I’ll give you all the dimensions so that you can create any card you’d like using this fold. I found the fold on Dawn Griffith’s site and loved it.

So cute…the little duck holding a banner wishing everyone a Happy Easter. This sentiment was fussy cut.

Another view of the cute little duckie.

A view from above.

The sentiment which is actually on the back of the card.

Dimensions for this card:

Basic White: 4 1/4″ x 8″, score at 1 1/4″, 2 1/2″ (on 8″ side); 3 1/4″ x 6″ for front, score at 1/2″, 1 3/4″ (on 6″ side); 4″ x 5 1/4″; 2 5/8″ x 2 7/8″

Cardstock: Back – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ Front – 2 7/8″ x 3 1/8″

DSP: 4″ x 5 1/4″; 1″ x 4″

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Easter Friends

Ink – Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green

Paper – Basic White, Pattern Party DSP, Granny Apple Green

Accessories – Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Marker

I hope you enjoyed seeing this fun card.

Here are a couple tips – don’t adhere the 1″ x 4″ DSP strip until AFTER you have adhered the middle section since it is adhered all the way across that 1 1/4″ folded piece. Look carefully at the second last photo. Use Dimensionals to “pop up” the duck piece and the banner. Also remember…your sentiment is on the back of the card.

Have fun making this card and I’ll be back with a 3rd Easter card next week.

Until then…Happy Stamping!

Easter Daffodils

Hello Stampers! Easter is getting closer so I thought I’d send Easter card ideas in my next three posts. This first card could also be used for almost any occasion.

This first card uses Very Vanilla as the base so that the Basic White oval really stands out.

This is the inside and I used Old Olive ink to stamp the design and sentiment. I picked up the color from the little hearts on the DSP on the front of the card.

This card has a change of DSP but still uses the Very Vanilla base. I also used my Blender Brush to soften the white edges of the oval.

You will notice that on this second card I used Memento Tuxedo Black for the design and sentiment. It seemed to stand out better.

As you can see there is plenty of room for embellishments to be added and changes made. The gals in my classes enjoyed adding some rhinestones.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Daffodil Daydream, Easter Promise (R)

Ink – Old Olive, Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Very Vanilla, Black, Basic White, Daffodil Afternoon DSP

Accessories – Blends – Old Olive, Daffodil Delight; Ovals Dies, Daffodil Dies, Daffodil Delight Ribbon

I hope you enjoyed seeing my cards and maybe you’ll try them out yourself. Don’t forget…I always welcome Guest Stampers so send me your creation as an email and I’ll post it here for you.

Until next time…Happy Stamping!
