Sympathy for Dog

Hello Stampers! Today I have two versions of the same design as sympathy cards for a fur baby that has gone over the rainbow. Unfortunately I have had several friends and even my daughter who have lost their precious dog.

I know it seems strange to make a sympathy card for a dog or cat but seriously if you have lost a family pet you will understand.

I really like the Playful Pets DSP and I just cut out the dog from the paper and added the heart from the Dog Builder Punch. The sentiment is from the retired stamp set Happy Tails.

This card was made specially for a dear friend. She lost her standard black poodle. I know this isn’t a poodle but at least it’s black. Besides adding the red heart I also added the Playful Pets Ribbon bow.

This is the inside sentiment. I used verse from Happy Tails along with the heart and paw print.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Happy Tails (R)

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red

Paper – Whisper White, Real Red, Playful Pets DSP

Accessories – Playful Pets Ribbon, Dog Builder Punch, Stitched Shapes Dies

Hope you enjoyed seeing these cards. I think I need some more Christmas cards. It’s really getting closer – there are Christmas decorations everywhere in ads and the couple stores I have been to. So…that means you’ll see some Christmas cards in my next few posts. 🙂

Until my next post…stay safe and healthy. Looks like we will be in this same lifestyle for another year.

Happy Stamping!

Quite Curvy

Welcome Stampers! Looks like we still can’t have classes or do too much. Hang in there and keep making those cards. Don’t forget those Christmas cards!

I’m showing you a couple ideas for the new Quite Curvy Bundle today. It will be available for purchase on November 3. I didn’t think I really needed it but then…

Here’s a birthday card I received from my upline, Peggy Noe. This card sold me on this bundle.

Isn’t this really cute! I realized I could do so much with this bundle. Then I saw a card done by a fellow demo and friend, Su Mohr. I had to CASE it!

While I was at it, I made two of these cards!

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

NOTE: WordPress has changed the format for entering a blog post and I’m still figuring it out. (It’s totally different and not as user friendly as the previous version!) Sorry if my post no longer looks the same.

Until my next post…Happy Stamping! Stay safe and healthy! Donna

Peace On Earth Christmas Card

Hello Stampers!

I love the way today’s card came out. The Pop Up fold is fun and a surprise for the recipient. I showed this card at a team meeting and I’ll show how to make one at our meeting next week.

I have a few photos so be prepared. I’m also sharing two versions.

Well…that looks simple enough…right!

When you open – up pops a beautiful silver foil dove.

Here’s the same card but with different paper.

Photos just don’t do these cards justice. I like this fold so much I made a version for my husband’s birthday card (next week) and we’ll make a Thanksgiving one for our team meeting. You’ll see that one too!

I like the one with the Night of Navy base better but I’m sure whoever receives the Balmy Blue one will also be pleased. 🙂

Directions for this Pop Up card:

Base – 4 1/4″ x 11″, score on the long side at 5 1/2″

Inside – (I used Whisper White) 3 3/4″ x 10 1/2″, score on long side at 4 1/4″, 5 1/4″, 6 1/4″     Fold so that 4 1/4″ and 6 1/4″ are valleys and 5 1/4″ mountain.

Inside pop up section – (still Whisper White) 3 3/4″ x 3″

Adhere the inside panel flat on top of the card base – center it at the top and adhere only the top section of that panel – DO NOT ADHERE BETWEEN THE SCORE LINES.

Adhere your small piece to the bottom score area. Then close up and add adhesive to the back of the inside piece, close the back of the base card on to it and there you have it.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Dove of Hope

Ink – Night of Navy

Paper – Night of Navy, Whisper White, Feels Like Frost DSP, Silver Foil

Accessories – Detailed Dove Dies

Hope you enjoyed these cards and if you have any questions just send me an email or call.

Stay safe and stay healthy!     Happy Stamping!      Donna
