Pocket Christmas Card

Hello Stampers! Today I have a different kind of Christmas Card for you. This is a pocket where you can put a one page greeting and/or add a photograph.

Check it out…

I made the pocket with Kraft Paper and then decorated the outside so that I could slip a photo in the pocket. That Candy Cane Lane DSP is fantastic!

Here’s the back so you can see how it went together in case you’d like to try this.

Directions for Pocket Card:

Cut Kraft Cardstock 9 1/4″ x 6″; score at 2 1/2″, 6 3/4″; turn and score at 1/2″ (that forms the little tab at the bottom)

Cut off the two side strips of the 1/2″ area, round the corners of the remaining tab

Inside card measures 4″ x 5 1/2″ if you choose to decorate an inside sentiment card.

It’s really quite easy and yet it is so very different your family and friends will love it.

Products Used:

Stamp Set – Star of Light

Ink – Chocolate Chip, Real Red

Paper – Kraft Cardstock, Real Red, Whisper White, Candy Cane Lane DSP

Accessories – Circle Framelits, 1″ circle punch

I hope you enjoyed seeing this clever Christmas card and will try it out for yourself.  Have a great weekend and I’ll be waiting for you to pop in on Friday.

Until then…Happy Stamping!

Christmas Igloo

Hello my dear stamping friends. Well, how are you feeling today after your Thanksgiving feast? Today would be a great day to kick back and make some cards.

Here’s a real cutie. I’m really having fun with the Cookie Cutter Christmas and Cookie Cutter Builder Punch. Meet my little Eskimo.

Isn’t she just so cute! I used an oval framelit and a round punch to make the igloo which was dry embossed with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. The twinkling stars were done in Encore Silver ink and the Star of Light stars. The bit of Silver Foil Paper behind the sentiment adds an icy touch.

Happy Friday my fellow stampers! Wow…my schedule is already crazy and we haven’t even hit Thanksgiving! How about you? Do you have all your Christmas cards made?

Here’s a nice clean card that you can mass produce easily.

My little helper is here to show you another white on white card. I love the new Holly Embossing Folder…it is a keeper for sure! The Noel and wreath came from the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set and Wonderful Wreath Framelits. Another winner!

This is a card that goes together quickly and is such a happy little card.

I was hoping to show some guest cards using the shaker technique but I’m having trouble getting them to wordpress. I’ll keep working on it and see if I can get some help so that I can share them with you on Monday.

Gold Noel

Welcome stampers! I have a very elegant Christmas card for you today. I CASE’d this from a fellow demo, Su Mohr. It’s her sketch and basic idea I just changed the embossing. FYI – CASE refers to Copy and Share Everything. Stampers love to share their ideas and it is a compliment to them when you copy their card. If you get an idea from another stamper but don’t necessarily copy their work then you are “inspired by” that person.

When I saw Su’s card I fell in love with it immediately and couldn’t wait to recreate it with the products I had.

I really like white on white and this card having the gold is a winner in my book.

All of the stamping on the inside was done with Encore Gold ink. It’s really quite pretty. You may notice that the left side shows the back of the embossing which gives texture to the inside of the card.

I presented this card to the ladies in a stamp club I belong to and they really liked it.

Products Used:

Stamp Set – Embellished Ornaments

Ink – Encore Gold

Paper – Whisper White, Gold Foil, Gold Glimmer Paper

Accessories – Wonderful Wreath Framelits, Ornament Thinlits, 1/8″ Gold Ribbon, Holly Embossing Folder, Gold Cord (R), Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (R)

Hope you enjoyed seeing this card and maybe you’ll try it on your own. Always feel free to get inspired or CASE a card!

Starlight Christmas

Welcome stampers! Today I want to show you another Christmas card using the Star of Light stamp set and Starlight Thinlits.

Here’s my little helper showing you this card. It’s clean but has a bit of glam by using the Silver Glimmer Paper.

I used Encore Silver ink rather than silver embossing. This photo doesn’t really show how nice it turned out.

A peek inside…

I like to use rounded corners from time to time to soften the appearance of the card. I felt this card really needed them.

Products Used:

Stamp Set – Star of Light

Ink – Encore Silver

Paper – Real Red, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper

Accessories – Starlight Thinlits

I’m still waiting for some of you to share your creations. I’d love to have you as a guest stamper and post your card(s). Don’t be shy…I know you are making cards!

Christmas Star

Hello fellow stampers! I know…I missed posting on Friday. My computer was attacked and my poor husband worked on it from Friday until today saving, wiping it totally clean, starting over like a new computer and today organizing everything for me so that I could get back to work. What would I do without him! Hope I don’t have to find out.

I had to retake and edit all my photos so that’s why it’s a bit late but as promised…another Christmas card.  🙂

I CASE’d this one from Brandy Cox. Mine isn’t exactly like hers though. This is a nice clean card and doesn’t take too long to make. It would be a good one for you to make multiple copies of for your Christmas greeting.

Brandy used these colors but she had some retired Cherry Red Glimmer paper for the large star.

Here’s my inside sentiment.

I didn’t want to use just white, black and red so I changed it a bit…

As you can see I used traditional Christmas colors with some Silver Foil and Glimmer paper. I also added a large rhinestone to spark it up! You might also be able to see a tiny silver foil star under the rhinestone. Here’s the inside sentiment…

I love this bundle – Star of Light stamp set and Starlight Thinlits. This has been one of my “go to” bundles this season.

Here they are together…

The white, black, red and silver is very striking. Now I can’t decide which one I like best.

This year I’m making a variety of cards to send out. In years past I made 50 of one design. Changing it up this year!

Products Used:

Stamp Set – Star of Light

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Whisper White, Black, Real Red, Emerald Envy, Silver Foil, Silver Glimmer

Accessories – Rhinestone Basic Jewels , Starlight Thinlits

Since this is a season of giving and sharing…why not share some of your creativity on my blog! Email photos of your masterpieces to me and I’ll be more than happy to post them here giving you full credit of course. 🙂

Until Friday (fingers crossed) Happy Stamping!
