Butterfly Birthday

Hello Stampers! Today’s card incorporates the Butterfly Duet Punch which I know won’t be available until April but when you get it (if you don’t already have it) try this card out.

I love using the Botanical Butterfly DSP that was a FREE item from Sale-A-Bration. Great paper!! The Butterfly Gala Stamp Set coordinating with the Butterfly Duet Punch is the best! I CASE’d this card from a fellow demo, Karen Hallam. Of course every time we CASE a card we add our own touches. 🙂

Notice that each butterfly is “popped up” with Stamin’ Dimensionals. The dimensionals give your card depth.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Butterfly Gala, Better Together

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Whisper White, Balmy Blue, Botanical Butterfly DSP

Accessories – Butterfly Duet Punch, Stampin’ Blends, Sequins

Here’s a close up.

Sorry it came out a little blurry. When I was prepping it the card was clear and my watermark was blurry…go figure.

In any event…you have only a couple more days to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration and get FREE items. If you don’t know what I’m talking about then you need to contact me ASAP and get on my Newsletter list.     donnamk47@yahoo.com

Birthday Wishes for You

Hello Stampers! Hope all is well with you and you are in good health. Stay warm and dry.

Today’s card is super easy and super quick to create. One stamp, some coloring and DSP and you’ve got it! This also serves as a great masculine card.

See what I mean! I chose a very subtle DSP from Tranquil Textures and used on of the Birthday Wishes For You stamps. I used the Stampin’ Write Markers to color, rounded the corners for a softer look and DONE!

I did use Special Celebrations Stamp Set for the inside sentiment.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Birthday Wishes For You, Special Celebrations

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Very Vanilla, Tranquil Textures DSP

Accessories – Corner Rounder Punch, Stampin’ Write Markers

I told you it was quick and easy. Sometimes it’s a good idea to make a quick and easy card. Too many times stampers try to keep adding embellishments etc. to “jazz” up their cards…simple is good too!  🙂

Take care and Happy Stamping!    Donna

Dream Catcher Birthday

Hello dear Stampers!  This is the time of the year when we all dream for warmer weather and sunshine so here’s a card to help you with your dreams.

This card uses a different little fold and a one piece base.

I chose to push the fold closer to the top of the base so that I could use the Chase Your Dreams Framelit at the bottom (dream).

This fold is quite easy:  The base is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″; the folded piece of cardstock is 4 1/4″ x 9 3/4″ scored from each end at 3 1/4″; you fold accordion style on the score marks. The front panel is stamped, inside panel is a piece of DSP and the panel adhered to the base is where you stamp your sentiment.

We always seem to neglect the masculine cards but this one works very well for all. My daughter LOVES Dream Catchers so I’ll be using this one to make cards for her.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

I hope you enjoyed seeing this card and the different way of making it and you’ll try it.

Birthday Statement

Hello Stampers! Hope this post finds you all in good health and keeping dry and warm. Crazy weather all over!

Today’s card uses the wonderful Gingham Gala DSP with a great stamp set – Birthday Statements. Basically one stamp, a little coloring and you’re done. I find coloring to be so relaxing. But then…I also enjoy cutting – must be all those years of teaching! 🙂

Isn’t this a nice cheery card! You can do this in any color combination and it will be a hit. I used the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing Folder on the envelope (difficult to see clearly).

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Birthday Statements, Special Celebrations

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Whisper White, Grapefruit Grove, Gingham Gala DSP

Accessories – Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Markers – Grapefruit Grove, Daffodil Delight, Pineapple Punch, Pear Pizzaz

This was definitely a fun and easy card to make. You can make these in a variety of colors and have them on hand for those last minute birthdays.

Birthday Butterflies

Hello Stampers!  I’m loving the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits – so  here’s a birthday card I made using them and the Botanical Butterfly DSP (FREE from Sale-A-Bration).

This card also has a little “bling” for fun. Note…the birthday sentiment and butterflies are “popped” up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. It’s hard to see in this photo but in person that pop gives the card depth.

Here’s a little close up to show off the bling.

The butterflies were actually cut from the large die with several butterflies. Another reason I love this Thinlit set. You can use the whole cluster or cut off parts of the butterflies since the way the die was constructed makes that very easy.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Southern Serenade

Ink- Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Black, Whisper White, Balmy Blue, Smokey Slate, Silver Glimmer, Botanical Butterfly DSP

Accessories – Butterfly Beauty Thinlits, Layering Ovals Framelits, Clear Rhinestones

Hope you enjoyed this card and will make one yourself. Remember…send me a photo of one of your creation and I’ll post it on my blog and feature you as my Guest Stamper!

 Until next time…Happy Stamping!     Donna
