Happy Stamping!

Class Card #3 Sweet & Simple Too Kind

This is the last card we will make in my May classes.  Since the first two cards were a bit time consuming – with fussy cutting and assembling – this will be our quick card.  Remember…sometimes the simplest cards are the most stunning. This card is also “single layer” meaning no embellishments or even Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Sweet & Simple Too Kind

This stamp set, Too Kind, is just so elegant.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products used to create this card:

Fancy Cut Stippled Blossoms

Today I’m sharing Card #2 for my May class.  I may have forgotten to mention that the focus of the class is the two-step process using the Stamp-a-ma-jig.  I know I forgot to include the Stamp-a-ma-jig in my supplies on Card #1 so be sure to add it.  🙂

I LOVE Stippled Blossoms stamp set and I will really cry when that set retires.  😦  This card is my version of one done by Dianne Sisneros.

Stippled Blossom Fancy Cut

Sorry the photo looks blue…I took it outside in the shade and that’s the way the white shows.

Both flowers and leaves were “fancy cut” as well as the Oval Designer Frame and one flower and the oval were “popped” up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Here’s the inside:

I continued the flower theme on the inside using the smaller flowers from this set.

Just in case I never mentioned it…I LOVE my Stamp-a-ma-jig!  I really believe EVERY stamper MUST have one.  I’m a bit fussy so I’d be nuts by now if I didn’t have one to center things.

I used the retiring colors Midnight Muse and Gumball Green as well as the Designer Frames Embossing Folder.

Stay posted for May Card Class – Card #3 tomorrow!  Hope you like this card and if you are considering ordering any retiring items, don’t wait too long.  The NEW catalog activates on June 2!!  So many new and exciting items.
Happy Stamping!

Class Card #1 – Field Flowers Stand-up

I thought I’d show the cards we are doing in my May Card Classes in advance this month.  I CASE’d this idea from Julie Davison.  I’m calling it Field Flowers Stand-up Card.

Field Flowers Stand-up
This is how the card looks when you pop it open.  I’m thinking this would make a cute card for someone’s desk or kitchen counter sending special or positive thoughts.

Here it is as you close it to lie flat for tucking into an envelope and mailing.

You can see I couldn’t get it to flatten and still stay upright but trust me…it does lie flat and it does go into a medium envelope.  🙂

Once again, I am using several items that will be retired soon.  If you like what you see and want them…order before the end of the month!

Out with the Old – May Blog Hop

May Blog Hop Logo

Welcome to the May Pals Blog Hop. This is the first hop on our new day – the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Before we celebrate the release of the new Stampin’ Up! catalog next month, we want to take time to say goodbye to our favorite retiring products. This month we are showcasing projects that feature stamps or accessories that are retiring along with the 2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog on June 4th.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Maxine Conrad, #31 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog.

May Blog Hop Card

May Blog Hop Close Up

Tried to use as many retiring products as I could.  Little late for a Mother’s Day card but my mom sure loved it!  🙂 Just change the sentiment and you have a new card!

The only non-retiring products are Crushed Curry Ink, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White cardstock, DSP Subtles, Scallop Circle Punch, Stitched Satin Ribbon, Pearl Basic Jewels, and Top Note Bigz

These are the retiring and some current Stampin’ Up! products I used to create this card:

The next stop is Angie Blake, #33 on the Pals Blog Hop!

Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you next month.  I always appreciate your comments. Happy Stamping!
