Apples for the Teachers

Hello Stampers!  Today I have a quick look at the cards I made for my grandchildren’s teachers. I also made some cute treats for my retired teacher friends when we had our “first day of NOT going to school” brunch.

These are a sneak peek at some new items. I’m loving these new Gathered Leaf Dies…they emboss and cut!  The apple comes from the Harvest Hellos Bundle. Too cute!

I made these treats from the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies…a huge hit! Also used the Come to Gather DSP. Both from the Holiday Catalog.

Only 8 more days and you too can order from the 2019 Holiday Catalog and see it on line. I’ll be posting it on Sept. 4th in my Weekly Newsletter as well as here on my blog.

Sorry I’m teasing you but these items are just so cute!

Happy Stamping!    Donna

Floral Essence Sympathy

Hello Stampers!

Today I have a couple sympathy cards for you. Since I got too busy last week to add a post I thought I’d send you two cards today.

We usually don’t like to think about sympathy cards but it is a necessity of life. Hope you like these two and hopefully CASE them. 🙂

This card is a bit different since you use a Gate Fold with a bit of a twist. I used the Floral Essence stamp set for these bright flowers.

As you start to open the card you see that the frame and image open up each on a separate flap.

Now the inside sentiment is being revealed.

There you have the card fully opened up and the full inside sentiment is visible.

This card may look complicated but it really is quite easy. I hope you will try it.

The base is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 2 1/8″ on both sides.

Whisper White is 4 x 5 1/4″ – cut out the 4th largest rectangle from the Rectangle Stitched Dies

Frame 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ then the 3rd largest rectangle, skip one to make frame from Rectangle Stitched Dies

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Floral Essence, Itty Bitty Greetings, Kindness and Compassion

Ink – Pear Pizzaz, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody

Paper – Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Whisper White

Accessories – Rectangle Stitched Dies

I hope you enjoyed this card and will make one for yourself! Watch for card #2 in the next post.

Happy Stamping!

To A Wild Rose Sympathy

Hello Stampers!

Today I have the first of my three sympathy cards. I have a theme for each of my classes and we recently did Get Well and Sympathy so I’m sharing them with you.

I used to do three designs, two of each design in my stamping classes but now I make six different designs, one of each. The ladies enjoy that routine better. It’s more work for me to come up with six designs but it does seem to work better. I think I’ll need to post more often so that you can see them all. 🙂

In today’s card I used To A Wild Rose stamp set. It’s another great set.

I really like the two step stamp sets. You can get more depth.

As you can see I used the basic leaf stamp as my background for both the front and inside pieces on Soft Sea Foam cardstock. In this photo you can also see that I popped up the flowers and leaves on the front panel with Dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – To A Wild Rose, Flourishing Phrases

Ink – Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Soft Sea Foam

Paper – Whisper White, Soft Sea Foam

Accessories – Wild Rose Dies, Stitched Shapes Dies

I hope you’ll try out these stamp sets and see how much you can do with the two step stamps.

Until my next post…Happy Stamping!     Donna
