Lotus Blossom Sympathy Card

Sympathy Class #3

As promised here is #3 of my Sympathy Card Class. I love this stamp “Lotus Blossom” from the Sale-A-Bration brochure (which you can get for FREE with a $50 order). Sorry about the photo…it was sunnier than I thought and I didn’t catch it.

Stampin’ Up! products used:

Stamp Set:  139143 Lotus Blossom SAB Freebie

Ink:  126985 Wisteria Wonder, 126969 Elegant Eggplant, 126953 Old Olive

Paper:  100730 Whisper White, 137784 Painted Blooms DSP, 105126 Elegant Eggplant

Accessories:  117335 Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, 122973 Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon

I really love this stamp set and the process. There are three stamps that you build up using the same color ink and you get the detail as well as the background of the flower. Since the stamp set is photopolymer you can see through it so lining up each layer is quite easy.

You can check out the FREE items in the Sale-A-Bration brochure by clicking on the image in the right sidebar. Plus if you scroll down a couple posts you will be able to see the four NEW items they added to SAB. Keep in mind if you see one you absolutely love…you need to get it before March 31. After that date, we won’t see any of those items again. So, start making your list totaling $50.00 or more. Do keep in mind that you receive a Free product with each increment of $50.00. It’s a great deal.

Enjoy your weekend and…

Happy Stamping!

Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge 241

PPA241 Sketch

Here’s our sketch designed by the very talented Nicole Watt. This one was fun and I decided to use colors from the 2013-2015 In Colors – Pistachio Pudding and Coastal Cabana.

PPA 241

I wanted this card to be soft and subtle but added the Hello Honey Ribbon to make a bit of a pop. I cut the ribbon in half for the bow because I thought the 3/8″ was too wide.

I haven’t used my Blendabilities in a while so I’m a bit rusty. I need to keep using them more – they are REALLY very cool.

I love this new stamp – Love is Kindness.  It’s so springy and who doesn’t love tulips! It only comes as a wood block but I converted it into a clear stamp and cut off the sentiment so that I could use them separately and put them where I wanted.

I have one more Sympathy card to share from my February Classes – check back tomorrow for that.

Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge 240

This week the Pals Paper Arts has another sketch for us.

Sketch 240

I took some liberties and really didn’t make three circles but you get the same impression. I’m really getting into using pearls lately. I used the very smallest so they are difficult to see on the butterfly – but there are two.

PPA Sketch 240

Fellow stampers – try making your own creation using this sketch. It gets the creative juices flowing and if you’d like to join in on the Challenges just go to http://www.palspaperarts.com

If you have any questions, just leave me a message in the comments or give me a call. 🙂

Masculine Thinking of You

I made this card for a man whose dad has suffered a serious stroke and my husband and I just want to let him know we are thinking of him and praying for his dad and his family.

Masculine Thinking of You

Very clean and simple but to the point.

Stampin’ Up! products used:

Stamp Set:  127805 Thoughts & Prayers

Ink:  126979 Chocolate Chip

Paper:  120953 Crumb Cake, 132182 DSP Sent With Love, 100730 Whisper White

Accessories:  127003 Apothecary Accents Framelits

Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge 239

Happy Friday! Another week has just flown by…where does the time go! Today I’m sharing my creation for the Pals Color Challenge. This is the color palette we were given to use.

PPA 239 color pallette

All three colors are great. So…here is what I came up with.

PPA 239

The Stampin’ Up! products used:

Stamp Set:  139149 Best Day Ever SAB

Ink:  102283 Versa Mark

Paper:  102482 Real Red, 115318 Soft Suede, 120953 Crumb Cake, 132182 DSP Sent With Love

Accessories:  125598 Labels Collection Framelits, 133787 Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, 130931 Candy Dots Brights, 129053 Heat Tool, 103083 Embossing Buddy, 109133 Black Emboss Powder

I used the negative red space by cutting out the Labels shape from the DSP and then popped up the cut out white with sentiment. This was a fun card to make…clean and simple.

Have a GREAT weekend.
