Hello Fall!

Hello Fall 1

This happy card celebrates fall. I really like the Wonderful Wreaths Framelits and all the different stamps Stampin’ Up! offers us to use with that framelit. This card is clean and crisp. As you can see, I’m using those cute little leaves from the For All Things SS again but this time as a background.

Hello Fall 2

To make this card I used:

Stamp Sets:  A Little Something, For All Things, Wondrous Wreath

Ink:  Delightful Dijon, Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake

Paper:  Whisper White, Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand

Accessories:  Wonderful Wreaths Framelits, Linen Thread, Candy Dots

You really should check out the Wonderful Wreaths Framelits and the stamp sets – Wondrous Wreath (page 72 AC), Circle of Spring (page 77 AC) and Peaceful Wreath (page 21 Holiday Catalog) that coordinate with it. Have fun!

Give Thanks Sheltering Tree

Sheltering Tree, Give Thanks

Another September Class card. I LOVE trees and fall is the perfect time to celebrate trees. The stamp set Sheltering Tree is also very versatile (as I mentioned in my last post about the Happy Scenes SS). Not only is there a rake but also a swing and bike along with a few sentiments, grass and snow flakes. It is one GREAT set. Just take a look on page 89 of the annual catalog for some ideas.

To make this card I used:

Stamp Sets:  Sheltering Tree, And Many More (the little sentiment), A Little Something (leaves)

Ink:  Wild Wasabi, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Delightful Dijon, Early Espresso and Marina Mist

Paper:  Very Vanilla, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip

Accessories:  Word Window Punch

There is one more card we made so watch for that post coming soon.

Happy Scenes Halloween

Happy Scenes Halloween 1

This is one of the cards we made in my September classes. I really like the new stamp set Happy Scenes and the fact that it is bundled with the Hearth & Home Thinlits Die.  It is so versatile – fall, Halloween, Christmas and winter.

I used Early Espresso ink, Tangerine Tango cardstock, Very Vanilla cardstock and Pretty Petals DSP Stack. The little label was cut out using the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits and embellished with Candy Dots.

I am very pleased with how this card turned out – you will see more cards using this wonderful bundle.

Pals Paper Arts Challenge

This week the challenge is a sketch.

PPA 268 Sketch

This is what I came up with…

PPA 268 1

I have my two crossed stars (Stars Framelits) in the background but added the large Butterflies Thinlit. I used some Dazzling Details to make it sparkle a bit. The photo just doesn’t do it justice, much prettier in person.

I will get more items posted to show you what we did in my September classes.

Ferrero Rocher Mini Box

I got this idea from Pootles and I LOVE these adorable little boxes that hold just one Ferrero Rocher candy. They will make great favors when decorated for the different holidays. I’ll also be making these for craft fairs.

rocher box 1 day 8

Here it is all closed with a mini clothespin.

Now the surprise inside! Isn’t it too cute! Super simple to make and a good way to use up scraps of DSP.

Trick or Treat Pillow Box

I am really loving the new Pillow Box Die…I can see so many uses for them. Halloween is a perfect time!

Trick or Treat Pillow Box

I used Very Vanilla Cardstock and stamped those cute spiders from A Little Something SS. Punched out a circle using the 2 3/8″ Scallop Punch in Tangerine Tango. I used A Little Something SS again for the sentiment, punched it out with the Label Bracket Punch and sponged the edges of both with Tip Top Taupe. You can fill this with Halloween candy or little notecards or whatever…hmmm, maybe even jewelry!

If you haven’t ordered the Square Pillow Box Thinlits Die yet…you really need to consider it. The stamp set “A Little Something” is also a must! I think I’ll be making these for my grandchildren’s teachers for Halloween.

Pals Paper Arts Challenge

This week’s challenge…

PPA 267 Color Palette

My version of this color palette…

PPA 267

I was in a flower mood I guess. I used Butterfly Basics for the large flower and Bordering Blooms for the floral border. Everything was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Write Markers. The bow was made with Whisper White Seam Binding Ribbon. I do have some Tangerine Tango in there if you look closely…the little berries in the border.

If you haven’t taken a look at the Holiday Catalog…please do…it’s just over on the right. If you click on the image of the catalog cover it will open up a world of beautiful new items.

Keep watching for lots of new items I’m making for my next craft fair. 🙂

Some New Items for Craft Fair

I’ve been busy finding new ideas and creating items to sell at our church craft fair in October. I’m also making items as custom orders for realtors for their “pop by” goodies.

Here’s a bottle tag for Christmas using some of our new items.

Bottle Tag 1.1

As you can see I used the new Delicate Ornament Thinlits and the Curvy Corner Trio Punch. The sentiment comes from Lots of Joy in our Annual Catalog.

Bottle Tag 2.2

I’ll be making a lot of these for realtors and the craft fair. I plan to add some Dazzling Details to bling those ornaments up a bit. Maybe silver tops too. It’s all about the bling!

I’m using Christmas paper stacks from last year (to use them up) cut in half (lengthwise) 2 1/4″ x 6 1/2″, score at 2″ from the top, punch hole with 1 1/4″ Circle Punch. Use the Curvy Corner Trio Punch on the bottom. Decorate as you like. I used the Delicate Ornament Thinlits and the Decorative Label Punch in Whisper White and Real Red. The Real Red piece was cut in half vertically & the points trimmed then adhered to the sentiment. The sentiment is from Lots of Joy.

I think it would stand out more if the bottle was wrapped in white tissue paper.

Enjoy your long weekend. I’ll be stamping tomorrow afternoon but Monday I’m off to Sea World with my daughter and 3 grandchildren…yippee! We all love Sea World!
