Floral Easter

Hello Stampers! Today’s card is my last Easter Card. I posted them early so you’d have time to make them and send them for Easter!

Once again I had to turn to retired  stamp sets. If you’ve been purchasing Stampin’ Up! for a while you probably have these sets. 🙂

The highlight of this card is the Braided Border Punch (new in the Mini Catalog). There’s a bit of a trick to using it but it’s very easy to line up.

Here’s the inside sentiment. Simple and to the point!

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Easter Message (R), His Grace (R)

Ink – Night of Navy

Paper – So Saffron, Night of Navy, Garden Impressions 6 x 6 DSP

Accessories – Layering Ovals Dies, Braided Border Punch, Stampin’ Blends

I had originally lined up the DSP with the edge of the base card but then one of my students suggested leaving a border – I loved that idea – thank you Diann!

I love rounded corners because it softens the card.

I create a basic card for my students and then they have great ideas on how to jazz it up…rhinestones, pearls, ribbons, etc. Please use my cards as a starting off point and then be creative!

We still have a couple weeks before Easter so you have plenty of time to create your own Easter cards. Don’t forget…if you send me a photo of your creation I’ll post it on my Blog and name you as my Guest Stamper!

Until my next post…Happy Stamping!     Donna

Easter Greeting

Hello Stampers! Today’s card uses the Lasting Elegance Die. That die set is super. I love it!

I played around with this die set and there are so many cool things to do. My next class theme is birthdays so I’m going to come up with a card using the floral dies from that set.

I only used this one stamp set – Easter Promise and I’m very pleased with the outcome. The Stamparatus came in handy on this card.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Easter Promise

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Gorgeous Grape, Purple Posy, Whisper White

Accessories – Stitched Shapes Dies, Layering Circles Dies, Lasting Elegance Dies, Stampin’ Blends

Simple but elegant!

One more Easter Card to go…enjoy!

Happy Stamping!     Donna

Easter Fun Fold

Hello Stampers! Today I have a very easy Fun Fold for you.

Here’s how it looks – very simple.

Then you see how it starts to open. The little scallops from the Scalloped die holds the top and bottom pieces down until you open.

The flaps open to reveal the Easter message inside.

The fold is quite easy:

Soft Sea Foam – Start with a piece of cardstock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 2 1/8 on each side; a 2″ square

Garden Green – (3) 1 5/8 x 4 1/2 pieces; a 2 1/2″  square

DSP – (3) 1 1/2 x 4 pieces

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Teeny Tiny Wishes (R), Blessed Easter (R), Layered With Kindness

Ink – Garden Green, Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Soft Sea Foam, Garden Green, Garden Lane DSP, Daffodil Delight

Give this fun fold a try…very easy!

Easter Cross

Hello Stampers! Today I have another retired stamp set because there just weren’t Easter sets I thought were appropriate in the Mini Catalog.

Once again a card that is not complicated but sends a very important message.

This sentiment is also from a retired stamp set – Easter Blessings. The font is so beautiful – I’ll never get rid of that stamp!

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Easter Message (R), Easter Blessings (R)

Ink – Early Espresso

Paper – Old Olive, Whisper White

Accessories – Layering Ovals, Stampin’ Blends

Hope you enjoyed this Easter Card. Until next week…Happy Stamping!

Easter Blooms

Hello Stampers! Today’s card was inspired by Patty Bennett. I just love this card! Unfortunately this card got a little ink on it from my classes before I took the photos – so please excuse. If you have any ideas on how to cover it…let me know! It’s so close to the bottom another flower would not work. 😦

All my Easter cards were photographed in our lemon tree. We have so many lemons we are giving them away to anyone who lives close. I used the SAB stamp set – Thoughtful Blooms along with the SAB punch – Small Bloom Punch. I love both and will use them long after SAB is over!

Here’s the inside sentiment. I continued the sprig of flowers with the sentiment. This card is pretty simple but is really cute.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Thoughtful Blooms (SAB)

Ink – Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Seaside Spray, Granny Apple Green

Paper – Purple Posy, Whisper White, Tropical Oasis DSP

Accessories – Small Bloom Punch (SAB)

I hope you enjoyed seeing this card. If you got these two Sale-A-Bration items then you should make this card! Until next week…

Happy Stamping!     Donna

Easter Lamb

Hello Stampers!

For the next six posts I’ll be sharing Easter Cards. Since I offer six designs in my classes I had to hunt for different stamp sets…so I had to go in to my retired sets to find the ones I wanted to use. You may remember today’s stamp set – Easter Lamb – too cute not to use!

I actually made two versions of this card. This is the one we made in my classes. The white piece is actually embossed with Layered Leaves Embossing Folder.

This photo shows the embossing a tad better. 🙂

This is the inside of both cards.

This is my second version. I made these for my grandchildren. I actually got a couple tiny clouds in this one!

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Easter Lamb

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Whisper White, Gingham Gala 6 x 6 DSP

Accessories – 2 1/2″ Circle Punch, Layered Leaves Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Blends, Ribbon

Hope you enjoyed my little lambs and watch for a new Easter card every Friday!

Happy Stamping!   Donna

His Grace

Hello Stampers!

Today’s card is for Easter. You still have time to get some Easter cards done so here’s one you might like.

This is a great stamp set and I love using Highland Heather.

The set His Grace does it all but I did add the “Happy Easter” with a retired set called Easter Message.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – His Grace, Easter Message (R)

Ink – Highland Heather, Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Highland Heather, Whisper White

Accessories – Layering Ovals, Organdy Ribbon (SAB), Markers – Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Highland Heather

I hope you’ll use this set to make some beautiful Easter Cards!

Happy Easter with Blossoming Basket

Hello Stampers.  It’s Easter already…time just flies by.  In honor of Sale-A-Bration ending tomorrow (March 31) I’m using the beautiful SAB Free item Blossoming Basket. I’m sure I’ll be using this long after SAB ends…and for years to come.

Don’t you love the Basket Weave Embossing Folder that comes with the Blossoming Basket! When I use it again I’ll leave more of the Basket Weave showing so that the recipient can enjoy the texture more.

Of course I used our wonderful Stampin’ Blends to color the basket and flowers. Notice how nicely the light and dark Blends work?  I stamped the image with Crumb Cake and I really like the light outline it gives. I think that a black outline is just too dark for my taste.

Did you notice the shadow under the white piece? I popped up the whole piece with Foam Adhesive Strips. It really adds to the dimension.

Stampin’ Up Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Blossoming Basket (SAB), You’re Inspiring

Ink – Crumb Cake, Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Whisper White, So Saffron

Accessories – Basket Weave Embossing Folder (SAB), Foam Adhesive Strips, Stampin’ Blends

This is the basic card…I think I might add some bling and/or ribbon to “jazz” it up.  I usually make cards for my classes that are basic and then have some embellishments available for my stamping friends to add to their creations.  Some of the gals changed the direction of the layout from landscape to portrait and it looked great.  Also some cut down the white with the basket so that more of the embossing folder would show.

Try this card and change it up and be creative. Then send me an email with the photo of your creation and I will definitely post it.

Saved the best photo for last!

Have a wonderful week and Happy Stamping!    Donna 🙂

Easter Message

Happy Friday, stampers! End of another week that went by all too fast. I did get in a lot of card making this week. I’m busy working on my swaps for the Pals swap at the Stampin’ Up! On Stage here in San Diego on April 8th. Three of us San Diego Pals are hosting a Make & Take with fellow Pals on Friday so I’m also prepping kits for that event. Busy, busy!

Hope you had a great week and did find time to stamp, scrap or make cards. Today I’m using the new set Easter Message for a religious Easter Card. This set is just lovely.

I only used the one stamp set to make this card. It’s a keeper for sure.

This photo gives you a better look at the embossing on the Soft Sky cardstock.

Simple message inside…also from Easter Message Stamp Set along with the palm frons. The blooming of our flowers helps make this a spring card.

Stampin’ Up! products used:

Stamp Set – Easter Message

Ink – Early Espresso, Pear Pizzaz

Paper – Whisper White, Soft Sky, Early Espresso

Accessories – Stampin’ Write Markers, Layered Oval Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Sparkle Embossing Folder

I wish each of you a wonderful weekend and hope you find some time to stamp and make cards. Keep in mind I’d love to share your creations on my blog so send photos via my email and I’ll showcase your work and you as my guest stamper.

For those of you just tuning in…if you would like more information about promotions and what’s going on with Stampin’ Up! please send me and email so that I can add you to my Crafty Cardmaker Weely Newsletter list. Until Monday when I’ll have a great Medallion card for you…Happy Stamping!   Donna

Timeless Tags – Easter

Happy Monday, Stampers!  Hope you had a fantastic weekend. We did! Our Marine son in law came home yesterday after being in Okinawa for a whole year! He and our daughter surprised their three children (they thought he’d be home on Tuesday). My husband and I had the children while our daughter went to a “meeting” and then we met her (and daddy) at a Mexican restaurant (his favorite). The oldest, started crying the minute she saw him (eight years old), the middle son (six years old) just stared at him and the three year old kept yelling “daddy, daddy, daddy”.  It was the best! We all had a wonderful dinner and we are all so happy he is home. The poor guy had been up for two days and with the time change he was dead on his feet. He will need a week to adjust!

We’re so happy he will be here for Easter. So, today I have a VERY quick and easy Easter card for you.

The Wisteria Wonder card is embossed with Elegant Dots Embossing Folder. The glimmer is from the Sale-A-Bration FREE Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer pack and Silver Glimmer Washi tape (retired).

The oval is cut from the Timeless Tags Thinlits.  I think I’ll get a lot of use out of that set!  The tiny message is from Teeny Tiny Wishes (another great set).

The inside says it all…

The sentiment is from a retired set Blessed Easter and the lilies are from Easter Message (in the Occasions Catalog). A touch of quick color and the flowers pop.

As you can see, Spring flowers are blooming here in San Diego.  It’s wonderful!  Makes me want to stamp lots of flower cards!

Stampin’ Up! products used:

Stamp Sets – Easter Message, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Blessed Easter (R)

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin’ Write Markers

Paper – Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer

Accessories – Silver Glimmer Washi Tape (R), Timeless Tags Thinlits, Project Life Corner Rounder, Elegant Dots Embossing Folder

This card is basic but think about adding a doily and maybe pop up a little banner with the Happy Easter, etc. You can be creative and make this card your own.

This is another one of the six cards I designed for my March classes. Participants had the choice of making one of each design or up to two of any designs for a total of six cards. I tried something a bit different. Attendees really liked it. I’ll think about this some more…it was a ton of work. 🙂

I hope you all have a wonderful week and I’ll be back on Friday with another Easter card.

Until Friday…Happy Stamping!
