Happy Monday, Stampers! Hope you had a fantastic weekend. We did! Our Marine son in law came home yesterday after being in Okinawa for a whole year! He and our daughter surprised their three children (they thought he’d be home on Tuesday). My husband and I had the children while our daughter went to a “meeting” and then we met her (and daddy) at a Mexican restaurant (his favorite). The oldest, started crying the minute she saw him (eight years old), the middle son (six years old) just stared at him and the three year old kept yelling “daddy, daddy, daddy”. It was the best! We all had a wonderful dinner and we are all so happy he is home. The poor guy had been up for two days and with the time change he was dead on his feet. He will need a week to adjust!
We’re so happy he will be here for Easter. So, today I have a VERY quick and easy Easter card for you.
The Wisteria Wonder card is embossed with Elegant Dots Embossing Folder. The glimmer is from the Sale-A-Bration FREE Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer pack and Silver Glimmer Washi tape (retired).
The oval is cut from the Timeless Tags Thinlits. I think I’ll get a lot of use out of that set! The tiny message is from Teeny Tiny Wishes (another great set).
The inside says it all…
The sentiment is from a retired set Blessed Easter and the lilies are from Easter Message (in the Occasions Catalog). A touch of quick color and the flowers pop.
As you can see, Spring flowers are blooming here in San Diego. It’s wonderful! Makes me want to stamp lots of flower cards!
Stampin’ Up! products used:
Stamp Sets – Easter Message, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Blessed Easter (R)
Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin’ Write Markers
Paper – Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer
Accessories – Silver Glimmer Washi Tape (R), Timeless Tags Thinlits, Project Life Corner Rounder, Elegant Dots Embossing Folder
This card is basic but think about adding a doily and maybe pop up a little banner with the Happy Easter, etc. You can be creative and make this card your own.
This is another one of the six cards I designed for my March classes. Participants had the choice of making one of each design or up to two of any designs for a total of six cards. I tried something a bit different. Attendees really liked it. I’ll think about this some more…it was a ton of work. 🙂
I hope you all have a wonderful week and I’ll be back on Friday with another Easter card.
Until Friday…Happy Stamping!
