Pals August Blog Hop

Aug Blog Hop logo

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for August. This month we are showing off our favorite crafting tools – those Stampin’ Up! tools that we just can’t live without. We hope you enjoy our projects!

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Kim Jolley #30 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

Since I love Heat Embossing my favorite tools are the Heat Tool, Embossing  Buddy and of course, Embossing Powders. Everything stamped on this card was embossed except for the sponging around the edges of the little flowers. By the way, don’t those little flowers look like peppermint candies?

Embossed Flowering Flourishes 1

The “Wish Big” and little flowers were done in Real Red and since we don’t have Real Red Embossing Powder I used the actual stamp pad and quickly sprinkled Clear Embossing Powder over it then heated it.

Embossed Flowering Flourishes 2

To get the embossing around the Curly Label I smudged the Versa Mark pad around the edges and then dipped the edges into the Black Embossing Powder. It was a bit tricky and you can see that I have some stray grains of embossing powder but I kind of like the little specs of black.

Embossed Flowering Flourishes Close Up

In this close up you can see the shimmer of the heated embossing powder. I really like that look.

New Hues Review July Blog Hop

July Blog Hop Logo

Welcome to the July Pals Blog Hop. This month we are featuring a New Hues Review. Let the new Stampin’ Up! In Colors for 2014-16 inspire you – Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, and Tangelo Twist.  We hope you find great inspiration from our creations.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Susan Itell # 15 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

July Blog 1

I needed a special birthday card for my childhood friend of 61 years. I love the new Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey so those colors were a must.  The new stamp set Age Awareness has this awesome greeting. I used White Craft Ink and the new Flowering Flourishes to stamp a background on the Blackberry Bliss cardstock.  The white Organza Ribbon adds just the right touch.  Of course the little flower from the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack punched out in Hello Honey put the final touch on this card.

In With the New! June Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the June Pals Blog Hop. This month we are excited to show off new Stampin’ Up! products from the just released 2014-15 annual catalog and idea book. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects. Get your wish list ready!

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Diane Roberts #20 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

I needed an anniversary card for my oldest and dearest friend and her husband.  We have been friends for 60 years!  I couldn’t think of anything more elegant and appropriate than the new Blended Bloom done in the new Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities.  A touch of silver embossing made it extra special.

Here is a photo taken outside in the garden area where this flower belongs.

Here is a closer view.

Blended Bloom, Close up

The Blendabilities and the fussy cutting make this flower just pop out.

I hope our dear friends enjoy this card.  Actually, this flower is very similar to the floral pattern of our bridesmaid dresses…that was the way it was in the 60’s!  🙂

These are the Stampin’ Up! products I used to create this card:

May Blog Hop Logo

Welcome to the May Pals Blog Hop. This is the first hop on our new day – the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Before we celebrate the release of the new Stampin’ Up! catalog next month, we want to take time to say goodbye to our favorite retiring products. This month we are showcasing projects that feature stamps or accessories that are retiring along with the 2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog on June 4th.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Maxine Conrad, #31 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog.

Tried to use as many retiring products as I could.  Little late for a Mother’s Day card but my mom sure loved it!  🙂 Just change the sentiment and you have a new card!

The only non-retiring products are Crushed Curry Ink, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White cardstock, DSP Subtles, Scallop Circle Punch, Stitched Satin Ribbon, Pearl Basic Jewels, and Top Note Bigz

These are the retiring and some current Stampin’ Up! products I used to create this card:

January Blog Hop

Jan Blog Hop Badge

Welcome to our first blog hop of 2014. This month we are excited to show you the new products available in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog as well as a preview of the free products you can earn through Sale-a-bration at the end of January.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from  Susan Itell #4 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

Jan 14 Blog Hop Both

The new Occasions Catalog emphasizes “Watercolor” so I thought I’d use two of the new stamps and punch to highlight watercolor.  Both of these cards are 3 1/2″ by 5″

Jan 14 Blog Hop Peaceful Petals

For this card I used the new Peaceful Petals Stamp Set (133107), Whisper White Cardstock (100730), Cajun Craze Cardstock (119684) and Pistachio Pudding Cardstock (130020).

I used VersaMark (102283) and Black Embossing Powder (109133) to stamp the flower and verse, and Pistachio Pudding ink (131177) to stamp the leaves.  The coloring was done using Stampin’ Write Markers Regals (131262) and an Aqua Painter (103954)

The flower is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)

Sorry, no punch for this one…all hand cut.  🙂

Jan 14 Blog Hop Petite Petals

This little Thank You utilizes my favorite new stamp set…Petite Petals!  I love Forget Me Nots and this little flower is about as close as you can get.  Luckily this set also has a companion punch (134822).  The verse came from the new Peaceful Petals stamp set.

I used Whisper White Cardstock (100730), Pacific Point Cardstock (111350), and Old Olive Cardstock (100702).  Four ink colors were used – Pacific Point (126951), Marina Mist (126962), and Midnight Muse (126860) for the flowers with watercolor blending and Early Espresso (126974) for the verse.

Three of the flowers were popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and I added some Candy Dots Brights (130931) to make them stand out.

The next stop is Peggy Noe #6 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and  I hope to see you next month.
