TTT 007 & Revisit Lemon Lime Twist Corner Fold

Hello Stampers! Today I have my version of the Tic Tac Toe Challenge 007 AND a second look at the Lemon Lime Twist Corner Fold Card.

I chose Die Cut, Floral, Yellow for my row.

Still experimenting with my camera and I had it too high on Pixels so these photos are GIANT! I’m determined to get this right.

This card was very labor intensive since I used So Saffron for the frame of the rose and then cut again in Daffodil Delight to fill in the flower.

This view shows the Dazzling Details I used on the frame of the rose.

Now I’d like to show you what we did in class with the Lemon Lime Twist Corner Fold Card.

This was the original.

Changed the butterfly from yellow outline to black and it made a world of difference. Thanks to one of my class attendees who came up with this version.

Changed the sentiment and added an inside sentiment.

I love when class attendees come up with new creations on the basic card we are making. It is great to share different ideas!

I’ll have another “different” card for you on Friday…until then…Happy Stamping!    Donna

Lemon Lime Twist Corner Fold Card

Hello Stampers!

Today I’m featuring three things. First this card is for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #6 using the row with Shadow – Layers – Square. Then I’ve brought back a fold I used in the past (but I love it) – the Corner Fold.  Lastly I’m using one of our NEW In Color cardstock colors – Lemon Lime Twist.

I’m really getting to like this Lemon Lime Twist more each time I use it. In person the Daffodil Delight butterfly looks so much better. Also, I apologize again for the bit of blur in the photo. I’m still working on the correct settings. This camera just isn’t as easy as I thought it would be.

Measurements for the Corner Fold:  Card base – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/2″; Black Cardstock – 2 3/4″ square, 1 1/4″ x 4″ strip, 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece for inside; Whisper White – 2 1/2″ square, 1 ” x 3 3/4″ strip, 3 3/4″ x 5″ for inside.

To make the Corner Fold:  Place the card at the 3″ mark on your Stampin’ Trimmer, place the blade at 2 1/2″ and cut from 2 1/2″ to 4 7/8″, turn your card one quarter turn clockwise and place the blade at 3″ and cut from 3″ to 5/8″.  Fold the corner down carefully making sure the corner is positioned evenly.

I liked this card so much I decided to use it in my July classes. So, if you are attending class on either July 19th or 22nd you will be making this card!

I promise my next post will be using the Early Release Carols of Christmas bundle. The Thinlits in that bundle are awesome!  Until then…

Happy Stamping!

Tic Tac Toe 7.1.17

Hello my dear stampers! I’m joining a new sharing group called Tic Tac Toe. We are given a tic tac toe board to use to create a new card. This is my first attempt  – my row is Blue, Embossing, Happy.  I thought it sounded like fun.

I wanted to create a card that could be used for a male without being totally masculine. It’s not too fussy and I like the way it turned out.

You may notice that the front panel has NO stamping! Don’t worry…I’ll use some stamping on the inside…right now I’m not sure who this is for so I’ll hold off on the sentiment.

The Happy Birthday is ‘popped up’ with Stampin’ Dimensionals. We now have Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals as well as Foam Adhesive Strips. That makes life a lot easier!

Since we’re about to celebrate the 4th of July I thought this card could have some patriotic colors by filling in the spaces of the Swirly Scribbles die with Real Red. Just a thought. 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Paper – Night of Navy, Marina Mist, Whisper White, Gold Glimmer Paper

Accessories – Sparkly Embossing Folder, Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, Happy Birthday Thinlit, Star Punch from Itty Bitty Accents (R)

I’m very pleased with how this card turned out. Of course you will think of ways to step it up to meet your needs and likes.

Let me know what you think of my Tic Tac Toe card.

Happy Stamping!     Donna
