Botanical Flowers

I’m up and running again. I know you were getting used to seeing a new card every two days then everything stopped. Sorry about that. I finally got a new computer and it took my personal IT guy (my husband) a bit of time to get all my “stuff” in order. I think I’m good to go now. ūüôā

My husband and I took two cruises back to back so I scheduled blog posts to appear while we were gone. We took a Transatlantic from Miami first. After 8 days at sea we docked in Tenerife, Canary Islands. Next ports were  РSpain:  Malaga, Cartagena & Barcelona (2 days); France:  Nice; Italy:  Livorno (Florence & Pisa) and ended in Rome. While new passengers got on board we took an excursion in the Tuscan countryside and did some olive oil tasting. Second cruise was Italy, Greece and Turkey. We left Rome then Santorini, Athens, Mykonos, Kusadasi and Bodrum (Turkey) then Crete, Naples and back to Rome. We spent 3 days in Rome before heading home. We were gone for 30 days which we decided was a long time to be away from home but we did love every minute and we were NEVER bored.

Since returning things have been crazy. Our daughter and three grandchildren missed us bunches so we have spent time with them (while their dad is deployed) and also with my 93 year old mother who is doing just great but loves our visits as often as possible.

Thank you for sticking with me. I appreciate your loyalty.

Here’s a card that can be used for so many occasions. I made it as an anniversary card but the gals in my class used all different sentiments:

Anniversary Flowers 1

I love this set of stamps and framelits! Botanical Blooms Stamp Set and Botanical Builder Framelits. I also decided to use some of our retiring colors and I’m very happy with this combination.

Anniversary Flowers 2

The actual color of the flowers is Calypso Coral and Hello Honey. They look different because of the sponging.

Products Used:

Stamp Sets – A Dozen Thoughts (Retired)

Ink – Lost Lagoon, Calypso Coral, Hello Honey

Paper – Lost Lagoon, Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Hello Honey, Old Olive, Basic Black

Accessories –¬† Botanical Builder Framelits

Hope you like this card and please feel free to CASE it (Copy and Share Everything).¬† I’m hoping to get back to at least one or two posts of new cards each week.

Happy Stamping!

Rose Garden Sympathy #2

As promised, here is the second card I designed using the Rose Garden Thinlits on Wisteria Wonder.

Rose Garden Sympathy 2a

I must admit that at first I had no idea how I would use this large rose die. I let it simmer in my head for a while and have done a couple different things. This is one and remember this one…

Cottage Greetings Sympathy

Today’s card was much less time consuming than the one above.¬†I adhered each of those colored pieces into the black outline. On today’s card I let the outline and card do the talking. Simple but yet elegant.¬†

Products Used:

Stamp Set – Petite Pairs

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White

Accessories – Rose Garden Thinlits

This card doesn’t need a lot of materials which makes it great for a newcomer to the stamping world. If someone is serious about a hobby of stamping and cardmaking then the Big Shot is a must! Then you can go crazy with dies and of course, stamps.¬†

It won’t be long to wait for a brand new Annual Catalog. Demonstrators are getting a sneak peek and able to order limited preorder items. On June 1, everyone will be able to order from the new catalog. I’ll definitely start sharing with you as soon as I can in mid to late May.

Hope you like my two Wisteria Wonder Sympathy cards. Mother’s Day is next…stay tuned!

Happy Stamping!
