Rose Garden Sympathy #1

As I have said many times already…I’m really liking all our new dies. They are just so beautiful by themselves and when you mix them they can be really spectacular. I designed two sympathy cards using Wisteria Wonder as the card base and different dies from the Rose Garden Thinlits. Here’s the first creation.

Rose Garden Sympathy 1

Maybe this looks familiar to you because I did make one that was square. These dies that just have the outlines are really fun to use. The sentiment was stamped with two stamps from the Rose Wonder SS – the outline and the words. Then, I cut it out with the matching frame from the Rose Garden Thinlit set.

Products Used:

Stamp Set – Rose Wonder

Ink – Rich Razzleberry

Paper – Wisteria Wonder, Wild Wasabi, Rich Razzleberry, Pink Pirouette, Subtles DSP Stack

Accessories – Rose Garden Thinlits, Wisteria Wonder Seam Binding Ribbon

My second creation will be in the next post…until then…Happy Stamping!

Little Birdie Birthday

Here’s a cute card using the Bird Builder Punch. It turned out so adorable I can’t figure out why I haven’t used this punch before! I am addicted to punches and now really liking all the new dies.

Little Bird Birthday 1

This bird is just so cute. I love Daffodil Delight with Old Olive…so classic. Of course any card can be dressed up with those great corners using the Curvy Trio Corner Punch. The white card is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals to make it stand out. The sentiment comes from a great Hostess set called Happy Birthday, Everyone.

The inside has a little bird bringing the birthday greetings “to you”.

Little Bird Birthday 2

A peek at the front and inside together. Just turned the bird over to get it to face in the other direction.

Little Bird Birthday 3

Products Used:

Stamp Set – Happy Birthday, Everyone (Hostess Set)

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Whisper White, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Pretty Petals DSP Stack (for envelope liner)

Accessories – Curvy Trio Corner Punch, Bird Builder Punch, Daffodil Delight Ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Hope you enjoyed today’s card featuring the Bird Builder Punch. If you don’t have it already, you might want to consider it. I foresee I’ll be using it a lot more from now on. 🙂

Until next time…Happy Stamping!

Birthday Card For The Guy In Your Life

We all need masculine cards and yet they are so hard to create. I have tried to just keep it simple, no foo-foo and nice neutral colors.

I got the idea for this card from one that was in Paper Pumpkin a year or so ago. It was a hit with my last private class.

Masculine B'day

This card is not plain, it has character and is still  masculine. The embossed card, Gorgeous Grunge stamping, Baker’s Twine and sponged sentiment all add to the effect.

Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Gorgeous Grunge, Birthday Blossoms

Ink – Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist

Paper – Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Very Vanilla (inside)

Accessories – Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Banner Triple Punch, Baker’s Twine in Early Espresso

I made a couple of these cards – it’s nice to have a masculine card on hand when you need it.

Until my next post…Happy Stamping!

Botanical Birthday

I’m loving those Botanical Builder Framelits! Here’s another card we made in a private class. It was a big hit!

Botanical Birthday 1

This card offers the opportunity to use dies and stamps. The light colored leaves were stamped (twice) first and then cut out with the die. I love the look of the long leaf on the side.

Botanical Birthday 2

Here’s a close up of the flowers. We sponged the petals ever so lightly to give a bit of depth and curled them under. Of course, we “popped up” the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Love the effect. I think every card I have made using the Botanical Builder Framelits has been a hit with customers and class participants. It’s one of those “must have” sets.

Products Used:

Stamp Set – Botanical Blooms

Ink – Wild Wasabi, Mossy Meadow, Blushing Bride, Watermelon Wonder

Paper – Blushing Bride, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, Watermelon Wonder

Accessories – Botanical Builder Framelits, Pearls, Stampin Dimensionals

I hope you are enjoying my posts displaying cards. I’m not one to write a lot so if you have questions, please ask. You may have to wait for a reply but I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Happy Stamping!

Royal Congrats

Our local high school’s colors are royal blue and white (with an accent of silver) and the band is called the Royal Regiment therefore a Royal Congrats will be needed for the graduates.

Royal Congrats 1

My daughter graduated from this high school and she approves of this card. 🙂 You just can’t go wrong with Rose Garden Thinlits and butterflies!

Here’s a peek at the inside. This is an awesome sentiment and these graduates have no clue what lies ahead of them and how meaningful this sentiment is.

Royal Congrats 2

Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Butterfly Basics, Wild About Flowers, Rose Wonder

Ink – Wild Wasabi, Pacific Point

Paper – Pacific Point, Whisper White, Silver Foil

Butterfly Heartfelt Sympathy

Heartfelt Sympathy Butterfly

This sympathy card has just a touch of color and of course butterflies are always special. I used the Perfectly Artistic DSP from Sale-A-Bration for the butterfly. I looked for a section that would look like butterfly wings.

I’m sorry but I used two retired stamp sets for the flowers and the sentiment. I just can’t part with certain sets. It’s difficult to tell but I used Elegant Eggplant paper and ink. It looks sort of like black in this photo. There is actually another Elegant Eggplant butterfly behind the yellow one. You might be able to see the shadow if you look closely.

Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Simply Sketched (R), So Very Grateful (R)

Ink – Elegant Eggplant

Paper – Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, Perfectly Artistic DSP (SAB)

Accessories – Pearls, Scallop Trim Border (R), Bold Butterfly Framelits

Bonjour – hint to another country we will visit!

Happy Stamping!

Thank You – Another Quick & Easy

Thank You

This is my last quick and easy Thank You card using the Painted Blossoms DSP. If you scroll back you will see how the different parts of the one sheet of 12 x 12 makes a huge difference in the look of the card. I also changed up the card color and sentiment to make them a bit different.

I don’t think you need a lengthy description or list of supplies on this one – so for now

Hasta luego – another hint of another country I will visit.
