June Card Class – Card #3 AND Weekly Deals!

Here is Card #3 using heat embossing.  All the design and sentiment is embossed.  I used Smokey Slate Embossing Powder on the background and Clear Embossing Powder over Blackberry Bliss ink for the pop up design and the sentiment.  A bit tricky…need to hurry with the powder before the ink dries, but it really adds to what can be done with Clear Embossing Powder!

Isn’t this new Blackberry Bliss the BEST!  I love it with the Smokey Slate.

June Card Class – Card #2

Next step in heat embossing is to go from Versa Mark to actually using Embossing Powder and the Heat Tool.  I used the new Hello Honey Cardstock and Moonlight DSP Stack.  I also pulled out my Piercing Tools to add an edge to this card. I’ve thought about joining the holes to make it look like actual stitching. Maybe I’ll try that.  It’s amazing that we can always see ways to add to our cards AFTER we think we are finished!  Well, here is card #2 for you to view!

Stitched Thank You

Hope you enjoyed this card…if so, leave a comment.  The last card will incorporate a little different technique using Classic Ink Pad and Clear Embossing Powder.

Happy Stamping!

June Card Class – Card #1

June card classes are just around the corner and I’ve decided to share our projects on my blog again this month.  Actually, I think I’ll be doing it from now on.  It saves another tree when I don’t have to print out all the supplies for everyone.  🙂

The focus of the June classes is Heat Embossing and of course, the use of Versa Mark.  This first card demonstrates the use of Versa Mark to create a background.  I still love my Thinlits flip cards so we are also using the Circle Card.

In With the New! June Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the June Pals Blog Hop. This month we are excited to show off new Stampin’ Up! products from the just released 2014-15 annual catalog and idea book. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects. Get your wish list ready!

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Diane Roberts #20 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

I needed an anniversary card for my oldest and dearest friend and her husband.  We have been friends for 60 years!  I couldn’t think of anything more elegant and appropriate than the new Blended Bloom done in the new Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities.  A touch of silver embossing made it extra special.

Here is a photo taken outside in the garden area where this flower belongs.

Here is a closer view.

Blended Bloom, Close up

The Blendabilities and the fussy cutting make this flower just pop out.

I hope our dear friends enjoy this card.  Actually, this flower is very similar to the floral pattern of our bridesmaid dresses…that was the way it was in the 60’s!  🙂

The next stop is Mary Fish #22 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and  I hope to see you next month.
