Quick and Easy Thank You

We all need thank you cards and notes so make a bunch to keep on hand. Here is a super easy and quick way to make all kinds of note cards.

Butterfly Thanks

You may recognize the DSP from the English Garden DSP Series. This particular page was beautiful by itself and could have been framed as is. I cut one piece into 6  4″ x 5 1/4″ pieces and made 6 cards using the different designs for the background on black (as well as other colors) cardstock.  I just added “thanks” (or any other sentiment) and a cute butterfly in Mint Macaron and it was done. I use a lot of thank you cards since I put one in each order for my customers so this really helped me out. Each card was different using different stamps and accessories. Look through your DSP and see what you can do.

In the meantime…Happy Stamping!

Blessed Easter

Here’s another Easter card for you…

Blessed Easter

I must explain that I used a retired stamp set but I just LOVE this stamp. It’s from the Occasions 2014 catalog. There are some demos who are willing to part with it so if you are interested…just let me know and I’ll post it on our Pals private FB page. It’s a one piece wood set but I cut the sentiment so I could use separately too.

Of course, I used Blackberry Bliss…my favorite retiring In Color. (Reminder – all the 2014-16 In Colors will retire on May 31. If there are items you would like – now is the time to get them while Sale-A-Bration is still on.)

Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Blessed Easter (R)

Ink – Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi

Paper – Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White

Accessories – Aqua Painters, Curvy Trio Punch

Hope you have a wonderful Easter!

Happy Stamping!

Easter Lamb

It’s that time again when we celebrate Easter. I just had to use this adorable little lamb from the Occasions Catalog.

Easter Lamb 1

I made this card first and since then several others in different color combinations. I made a couple Easter cards in Blushing Bride and Perfect Plum – they came out darling. Then I used that same combo without the “Happy Easter” and made them into baby cards. Be creative with your stamp sets – don’t get stuck on one theme.

Easter Lamb 2

Of course, we always need to decorate the envelope. Wink of Stella Clear was brushed on the lamb to give it a bit of sparkle. The Cajun Craze marker was used for the “hand stitching” around the frame with a bit of sponging also in Cajun Craze. I actually cut the ribbon in half to make it thinner so as not to overwhelm the lamb.

Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Easter Lamb, Botanical Blooms on the envelope

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black, Cajun Craze, Wild Wasabi, Hello Honey

Paper – Whisper White, Cajun Craze, Botanical Gardens DSP

Accessories – Deco Labels Framelits, Stampin’ Write Markers in Wild Wasabi, Cajun Craze & Pink Pirouette, Clear Wink of Stella, Hello Honey Satin Stitched Ribbon

This lamb is just so cute and I’ve had such fun using it on different cards. Please send photos your Easter creations and I’ll post them here on my blog.

Special Card for a Special Guy

My cousin is a piano teacher and he is celebrating a birthday so I made this special card just for him.

Music Birthday 3

This is such a unique fold. The back pops out when you open it so that the sentiment is like a diorama. Another fold idea I got from Julie Davison.

Music Birthday 2

I really liked the look of Very Vanilla and Black with the music paper.

Products used:

Stamp Sets – Rose Wonder, Watercolor Wings

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black, Craft White

Paper – Very Vanilla, Black, Modern Medley DSP

Accessories – Circle Card Thinlits, Ornate Tag Punch, Baker’s Twine

This is really a fun fold and very easy. Check out Julie’s YouTube video

Be back tomorrow for “a bit o’ the green”!

Happy Stamping!

Birthday With A Flip

Flip Card Birthday

Here’s a really cute fold for you. You just pull the flap behind the little cupcake and it opens up to stamp your sentiment or write a message. I have seen this fold used for every type of card. It’s so versatile. I got the idea for this card from Julie Davison.

Start with cardstock 4 1/4″ x 11″; score on the 11″ side at 2 1/2″, 6 3/4″; Punch a 2 1/2″ circle between the top and middle fold; 4″ x 4″ DSP for the front bottom; 2 1/4″ x 4″ DSP for top flap; after DSP is adhered to top flap then punch the circle (two layers is too much for the punch). On this card I used a 1 3/4″ circle with the little cupcake punch for the closure tab. I made others and actually built a cupcake with the Cupcake Builder Punch. Try it…it looks really good. See the list of products used for the other punches I used.

I really like the DSP in the Cherry on Top Stack. These 6″ by 6″ stacks are so great. You get at least four of each print and they are the perfect size.

Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Circle of Spring, Party Wishes (used for cupcake on the envelope), Botanicals for You (SAB – inside sentiment)

Ink – Watermelon Wonder

Paper – Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Cherry on Top DSP Stack

Accessories – 2 1/2″ Circle Punch, 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/4″ Circle Punch, 1″ Circle Punch, Party Punch Pack

Try this fold out for any occasion and send me a photo of your creation and I’ll post it here on my blog. In fact, send me a photo of any of your creations and I’ll post them. One of the great things about stampers is that we love to share – copying is OK!

Tomorrow I’ll be emailing my weekly news so if you haven’t received one yet…just send me an email and I’ll get you on my mailing list. Remember…that is where I share all promotions (like Weekly Deals) and any other news and tips.

Until my next post…Happy Stamping!
