Pretty Kitty and Bella

Hi Stampers. Today I have a cute little birthday card and bookmark I made for my granddaughter who just turned 9. She LOVES animals but especially dogs and cats. I used Pretty Kitty on the card and Bella & Friends on the bookmark.

She thought it was so cute. She’s a saver so maybe she has the cards I’ve sent her stashed away somewhere.

She loves to read so she needs lots of bookmarks.

These are two adorable stamp sets. The sentiments are great and can be used for more than just children’s cards.

Both were very quick and easy. Added a bit of marker coloring and there you have it.

I have so many new cards to share with you – so keep checking my blog out every Monday and Wednesday.

Until my next post…Happy Stamping!

Guest Stamper!

Happy Monday Stampers! Today I have a guest stamper, Ann Parmley.  She was a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator many, many years ago and has come back to stamping (not as a demo). She is graciously sharing her cards with us.

This is the Birthday card she made for her mom. Her ice cream looks so real! She used Cool Treats Stamp Set and Frozen Treats Framelits.

This staggered look is very popular now…very cool.

This one is a winner in my book!  She used the Window Box Thinlits and Nailed It from the Occasions Catalog. Isn’t it just great! This one is for her dad for Father’s Day.

I forgot to mention…Ann is my cousin and I’m so happy she is stamping again. I hope we’ll see more of her great work.

You too can be a guest stamper…just send me nice clear photos via my email.

See you on Friday with a card and bookmark I made for my granddaughter for her birthday. Until then, Happy Stamping!

Hi Stampers and Happy Friday! As promised here are the last eight swaps from On Stage. There were two demonstrators who did not put their names on their cards.

Hope you enjoyed seeing these new cards. We each have our own style and it’s nice to see other stampers works of art.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I’ll have a Guest Stamper for you on Monday!

Swaps from On Stage San Diego – Part 1

Happy Monday, Stampers!

As promised I am going to show you eight lovely cards I received at our Pals swap last Saturday after the On Stage event.

For those of you who aren’t sure what swaps are:  you sign up to swap cards and then you make the total number of cards represented by the number who signed up. You make all the cards the same, no envelope and you put your card inside a cello bag and you enclose your card or your info on a piece of paper rather than stamping on the back of the card. The Pals usually form a line and the first person gives out cards and gets at the end of the line. The line keeps moving up until the first person is at the beginning and everyone has exchanged cards. It goes quite fast and is a lot of fun when we all sit down and go through our swaps. Since I made more swaps than needed I also gave my cards to friends who didn’t swap.

Here’s my swap…which I posted last week.

Now for some really neat cards from fellow stampers!

Wow, aren’t they great! Swapping cards is fun and also gives you new ideas for making your own cards. If you like any of these cards and would like to copy one or more (remember – CASE – Copy And Share Everything) please give credit to the person you copied from.

I’ll have eight more cards for you to see on Friday. Then on Monday…I’ll have a guest stamper!!! I’m so excited.

Have a great week and…Happy Stamping!

Flourishing Shadow Box Card

Hi Stampers! Wow, another week just zipped right by. Hope yours was a great week.

As promised, today I will share my second version of the Shadow Box Card.

I think my new favorite color is Sweet Sugarplum. This card is just so pretty! The same directions as in my previous blog post but I changed up the color scheme and used Flourish Thinlits.

As you can see, I added the Stylized Birthday greeting to this one. Love that stamp!!!!

Here’s a good view of the box to make the shadow.

I’m lovin’ this card!

I’ll share the swaps I received at On Stage on Monday. I received some really awesome swaps. Until Monday, have a great weekend and…Happy Stamping!

Dragonfly Shadow Card

Hello Stampers! Welcome to a new week. I just had a fantastic time meeting with fellow Stampin’ Up! Demos at our Local On Stage here in San Diego. We started on Friday with Peggy Noe, Linda Foster and I hosting a pre-On Stage Make & Take for the demos in the Mary Fish Pals. We had 20 wonderful ladies attend to make three cards and have some visiting time. Then we all went to a great Mexican restaurant for dinner together. What a wonderful group – a good time was had by all!

This is the card I presented.

See how you get a cool shadow when the card is opened.

This shot really shows the shadow.

This is a better look at how you create the empty space for the shadow box.

View of both front and inside.
