This is a clean and simple version of card #1. I was thinking more masculine.
I love this stamp set, Age Awareness.
Happy Stamping!
Our April theme for card classes was Birthday Cards. This is the first of two for this design. This one had a little more whereas the second version was simpler and more for the masculine recipients. You’ll see that one on Wednesday.
I got the basic idea for this card from Julie Davison with a few of my own changes. This sentiment came from one of our Paper Pumpkin kits. This stamp is a keeper – I love the font. I used one of my favorite retiring colors – Coastal Cabana. It looks great with black accents.
Any comments are always appreciated. 🙂
Don’t forget to check the Retiring List – just click on the image below. You can get some GREAT deals on your favorite items. Remember – when they are gone, they are gone! Happy Stamping!
I offered a special class called “10 in an Hour” to my customers and several were very excited about it. It actually took about 1 1/2 hours because I had two colors to work with. Those who attended were thrilled that they were leaving with 10 finished cards. I had various sentiments and gift boxes available. It was so successful I know I will offer another one in a few months.
Here is the card we made. I know I saw this idea somewhere and I thought I wrote it down but after going through a ton of notes I couldn’t find it. I can’t give credit to the person who gave me this great card idea but if someone knows…let me know and I will give credit where credit is due. In Stampin’ Up! we like to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) but it is polite to mention the name of the original creator.
Here it is in Crisp Cantaloupe and in a boxed set.
This is a great card and can be mass produced easily. It was quite a hit. Send me a photo if you decide to try it. 🙂
Happy Stamping!
I wanted to make a quick card for my grandson and the Age Awareness Stamp Set came to the rescue.
Sometimes less is just perfect and in this case it was!
I wanted a quick and cute gift card for both my granddaughter’s and grandson’s gifts from my mom…my sweet little Koala Stamp to the rescue this time.
Nothing fancy here…stamp and Candy Dot on a 3 x 3 Crumb Cake card. (Looks more grey in this photo for some reason?)
Very simple and to the point.
Have a great weekend and have fun stamping!
This week we had another sketch challenge and I think it just begged to use the Circle Card Thinlit.
See what I mean – the trick was to turn it upside down from the “normal” way we usually use this thinlit.
The Daffodil Delight flowers just didn’t have any pizzazz so I decided to do a little doodling. I think the black Project Life Journal pen did just the trick.
Hope you like my creation and I’d love to hear from you.
Don’t forget to check out the Retiring List of products (see previous blog). They are going fast and if you have your heart set on a certain item, better get it now.

Happy Shopping and Happy Stamping!
This is our sketch challenge. Looks pretty easy but of course we don’t want to just slap down two pieces of paper…right! So here is what I created.
I started by using some colors I haven’t used in quite a while – namely Baked Brown Sugar. Then I found some DSP and things progressed from there. The frame is a retired die but still VERY useful and of course, there’s our favorite little Bow Punch. It’s clean and simple – and I’m quite satisfied with it. 🙂
Let’s see what you can create using this sketch! Send me a photo and I’ll post it on my blog. You can be a Guest Stamper!
Happy Stamping!
Our challenge this week is to use the following colors:
I love all of these colors individually so I was challenged to use all three together.
Notice the background in Perfect Plum on Whisper White Cardstock. This is one time when a mistake turned out to be an awesome background. I stamped the honeycomb from Butterfly Basics around the edges but when I came to the corner I accidentally overlapped and…a pretty little flower appeared. 🙂 So I went around again in the opposite direction. I’m very happy with my “mistake”!
Stampin’ Up! products I used:
Stamp Sets: Butterfly Basics, Four Frames, And Many More, Petite Petals
Ink: Blackberry Bliss (used on the flowers, label & sentiment)
Paper: Whisper White CS, Perfect Plum CS, Elegant Eggplant
Accessories: Ovals Collection Framelits, Bigz Top Note, Petite Petals Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Hello Honey Stampin’ Marker
Consider trying to challenge yourself. Just go to palspaperarts.com to find the challenge of the week and add your own…OR…if you’re too shy…please consider sending a photo of your card to me and I’ll post it on my blog.
TOMORROW is the last day to place an order and receive FREE shipping! Don’t miss out on a great way to save money. You can place an order online by clicking on the Shop button at the upper right OR give me a call and I’ll place your order for you.
Happy Stamping!
This week we are challenged with the task of creating a card using Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe and Kraft. Well, I didn’t have any Kraft cardstock so I had to get creative. I decided to use one of our Polka Dot Kraft bags. I’m going to use this as a Hostess Gift and fill the bag with goodies.
I’m happy with the way it turned out. These challenges are so much fun. Do try it…
The colors are a bit more true in this photo taken in my craft room.
Stay tuned with a big announcement tomorrow. Stampin’ Up! has promised a big surprise tomorrow. I’ll post it as soon as possible.
