Marriage Is a Journey

Hello Stampers!

Here’s one more wedding card that was a big hit with my classes. I think it’s my favorite.

I really like white on white at times and this is the perfect time.

The Lacy Dynamic Embossing Folder really adds to this card. In this close-up you can barely see that I actually used the outer frame piece as well as the inside heart from the Be Mine Stitched Dies. I used silver ink for the sentiment.

Lovely complimentary inside sentiment to go with the front of the card.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Flourishing Phrases

Ink – Silver

Paper – Whisper White

Accessories – Lacy Dynamic Embossing Folder, Be Mine Stitched Dies

Unfortunately this is one of those cards you can’t really appreciate through photos. The feel of the texture makes a world of difference on this card. It’s very elegant.

Happy Stamping until my next post!     Donna

Special Couple

Hello Stampers!

This time of year we have graduations, weddings, anniversaries and retirements. Today I have a wedding card for you. I have one more wedding card and an anniversary card coming up. Then I’ll start on the graduation and retirement cards. 🙂

Can you see the tufted embossing and the raised sentiment? If you know the brides colors you can make this card to match.

I love this sentiment…it comes from Special Celebrations which is being carried over to the new catalog. (I’m very happy about that!)

Stampin’ Up Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Special Celebrations

Ink – Pacific Point

Paper – Balmy Blue, Whisper White, Pacific Point

Accessories – Stitched Seasons Dies, Fancy Corner Punch (R), Tufted Dynamic Embossing Folder, Pearls

Hope you enjoyed seeing my card and will try it out for yourself.

Until my next post…Happy Stamping!     Donna

Flourishing Congratulations

Hello Stampers!  The season is upon us with Weddings and Anniversaries coming up so I have a card which can be used for either one.

I did use Springtime Florals DSP from last year’s Sale-A-Bration. I accumulated so much of it because I fell in love with this paper! It just makes this simple card so elegant. I still have a lot of this DSP left even after using it in two classes! I REALLY like it! 🙂

I think the silver and gold is just beautiful. The cut out flourish really adds to the overall effect.

I added a strip of the DSP down the side of the inside with a lovely sentiment.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Floral Phrases

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper- Whisper White, Springtime Florals DSP, Gold Foil

Accessories – Flourish Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Dies, 1/8″ Gold Ribbon

I must admit I did make a few of these cards – you never know when you need a wedding (not so much these days) or an anniversary card. The ladies in my classes liked this card too.

In this view you can see the little strip of DSP inside.

Hope you enjoyed seeing this card and maybe you’ll try it with whatever DSP you have on hand. Be Creative!

Until next week…Happy Stamping!     Donna

Flourishing Love

Hello Stampers! I think today’s card is quite elegant and simple. It would make a great Anniversary or Wedding card. Mine is for a Wedding.

It’s simple but makes a statement. I used the Springtime Foils (a FREE gift from out Sale-A-Bration promotion) for my background and used our Foam Adhesive Strips to pop up the whole piece. It looks amazing in person.

This is my inside sentiment from the Special Celebrations Stamp Set. I thought the little Flourish die would carry the front over and it added to the elegance of the card.

I cut out the word love using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and popped up the word with Dimensionals. The Silver Foil really makes the word pop.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Special Celebrations

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Whisper White; Springtime Foils (SAB); Silver Foil

Accessories – Flourish Thinlits; Sunshine Wishes Thinlits; Foam Adhesive Strips

Hope you enjoyed seeing this card as much as I enjoyed making it. Sometimes simple is the best.

Happy Stamping!     Donna

Elegant Wedding Card

Happy Friday, Stampers! You made it through the week. Today I’m changing it up a bit. Instead of more Christmas ideas I’m tossing in an elegant wedding card. This actually came about because I was playing around with the Detailed Floral Framelits. I decided to see how it would look in Silver Foil paper. Well, one thing led to another and this is what I came up with.

lacy-wedding-1

This framelit set is just so beautiful you really don’t need to do anything to it. I used a simple Satin ribbon (now on Clearance) to close the doors.

lacy-wedding-2

A simple wish inside using Night of Navy ink to match the Night of Navy Cardstock and the Floral Phrases Stamp Set. This is just so beautiful there is nothing more to say. I really love both the Detailed Floral Framelits and the matching Floral Phrases Stamp Set.

Have  an enjoyable weekend and I’ll be back on Monday with a Thank You Card.  Until then…Happy Stamping!

Wedding Wishes

Here’s another card from the May class…please excuse the ink that bled. My sample got a little too close to the baby wipes during class.  😦

Wedding Wishes 1

Don’t you just love the Rose Garden Thinlits paired with the Rose Wonder Stamp Set? You can create so many cards with just those two items.

Wedding Wishes 2

The decorated envelope adds to the total look. I had to use my Blackberry Bliss paper and ink one last time before that color retired.

Here’s the inside sentiment with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch (retired) once again adding a lovely touch to the sentiment.

Wedding Wishes 3

Everyone loved this card and it can be used for so many occasions by simply changing the sentiments.

Products Used:

Stamp Set – Rose Wonder

Ink – Blackberry Bliss (retired)

Paper – Whisper White, Blackberry Bliss (retired)

Accessories – Rose Garden Thinlits, Curvy Corner Trio Punch (retired), Pearls

Next up will be Sympathy Cards. No one really likes the idea of making them but they are a necessity unfortunately.

Happy Stamping!

Wedding Wishes

It’s getting close to that time of year when we celebrate a lot of weddings so I revised the Cottage Greetings Card Kit to meet my needs. It’s a great kit as is but you can also do so much more with it.

Wedding Wishes 1

I added the decorative corners with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch and used silver embossing powder for the sentiment.

Wedding Wishes 2

Here’s the inside sentiment again Silver Embossing and popped up on Silver Foil Paper. This is a perfect sentiment.

Wedding Wishes 3

One of the great things about this kit is it includes the Silver Foil envelope liners. Also the base card came from the kit. I love it!

Products used:

Stamp Set – Rose Wonder

Ink – Versa Mark

Paper – Cottage Greetings Card Kit, Silver Foil, Whisper White

Accessories – Silver Embossing Powder, Curvy Corner Trio Punch

Quick and easy! You should really consider this kit and others. You can follow the directions or go off and create with the kit as your starting point. My next kit project is the Tin of Cards. It has been sitting here since the Annual Catalog came out!

Have a wonderful week and until my next post – Happy Stamping!

Wedding Card in a Hurry

My friend (and neighbor) was in need of a wedding card quickly…it was around noon today and they were leaving at 3:00. So, I went to work. Didn’t have time to think about it too much but I am pleased with the end result and so was she.

Wedding 1

The heart and tag are both retired but those were the first stamps that came to mind.  The ribbon, pearls and doily make it delicate.

Wedding 2

Simple inside sentiment. I left room so she could write a note.

Wedding 3

Made a matching envelope liner too. I love heat embossing…it makes a card come to life!

Hope the bride and groom enjoy their hand stamped card.

Happy Stamping!
