Panda Waterfall Card

Hello Stampers!  We are freezing here in Southern California – it’s been in the 50’s and 60’s and as low as 30’s and 40’s  in the morning…brrr. Hope you are warm and healthy. We are just not accustomed to this cold weather!

I have a very cute card for you today. It’s the Waterfall Card some of you are familiar with and our Sale-A-Bration Pandas.

See the little white tab at the bottom?  Just give that a little tug and the next Panda will appear.

Sorry about the smudge…Tip: If you use Archival Basic Black be sure to let it dry thoroughly.

Here’s the next one.

And the next…

We made this card in my classes and at first the ladies thought they would never be able to do it. In the end…EVERYONE was successful!

You want directions…right! Here you go.

Card Stock:  Base – 4″ x 5 1/4″; Strip – 1″ x 4″; (cut 4) 2″ x 2″

DSP:  3 3/4″ x 5″

Whisper White:  2″ x 9″ (score at 2″, 2 3/4″, 3 1/2″, 4 1/4″); (cut 4) 1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″; (optional – 3 3/4″ x 5″ for back of card)

  1.  Adhere the DSP to base and optional Whisper White to back, using 1 1/4″ Circle Punch – punch a half circle at the bottom in the center
  2. Stamp the Whisper White squares and adhere to the cardstock squares
  3. Stamp the sentiment onto the 2″ x 9″ Whisper White strip at least 1/2″ from 1st score mark and leave at least 3/4″ from bottom of this strip
  4. Fold on score lines all in one direction (curving toward the sentiment)
  5. Adhere the 1″ x 4″ strip ONLY on sides to the base about 1″ from the bottom of base
  6. Adhere the squares (adhesive ONLY on the top of square) starting at the midway fold ON THE BACK SIDE of the sentiment along the score lines and work your way up putting a square along each fold
  7. Slide the Whisper White (WW) strip with squares attached through the cardstock strip, center it and line up with bottom, put adhesive on strip but be sure to stay within the boundaries of the WW strip, fold the top half of WW strip (with the squares) over the adhesive laying flat and press.
  8. You’re finished!

It may sound daunting but it really isn’t. Give it a try…if you have any problems…contact me.

Tri-Fold Card

Hi Stampers!  Today I have a very versatile card for you. Yes, mine is a Valentine card…better late than never! I should have posted this on Wednesday but life got in the way. 🙂

In class some of the participants made this lovely card into a birthday card…you can put any sentiment you want on it.

Open the first page and find this lovely flourish.

And finally the inside where you can put your sentiment. I left this particular one blank until I need it and then decide what I want inside.

This card may look difficult but really isn’t.

Here are the measurements for this card:

Powder Pink – 6 3/8″ x 5 1/2″, score at 2 1/8″

Whisper White – 8″ x  5 1/4″, score at 4″; (2) 2 1/2″ x 4″

Sahara Sand – (2) 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″

DSP – 2″ x 5 3/8″ and 1/2″ x 5 1/4″

Use the photos to lay out your pieces then stamp and adhere.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Bloomin’ Love, Flourishing Phrases

Ink – Crumb Cake, Powder Pink

Paper – Powder Pink, Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Fresh Florals DSP

Accessories – Stampin’ Write Markers (Pear Pizzazz, Powder Pink)

This card is really lovely; I hope you will try making one.

Please try to stay healthy! The flu bug has hit my daughter and her family very hard…all 5 of them are down with the flu (mom, dad, 3 children). Unfortunately one of the girls also has pneumonia! This flu is nothing to fool around with so take care of yourselves.

Happy Stamping!      Donna

Valentine Lots to Love Box

Hello Stampers!  We’re getting close to Valentine’s Day so I have some cards to use for Valentines or Birthday.

This adorable box has the greeting “happy valentine’s day” and the mini card is for a birthday card on a package. I like to give the ladies in my classes the option of the special holiday as well as birthday or general.

These darling boxes are so easy to make using the die from the Lots to Love Box Framelits. Just add some DSP, some accessories and sentiment and you have a very cute box.

We made little greeting cards too, using the Whisper White Narrow Note Cards and Envelopes. You can make a set of 4 to slip into the box. We also made gift tags but I am not posting those.

These cards are so handy. Great to put on a gift package!

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Teeny Tiny Wishes, Birthday Blossoms

Ink – Berry Burst

Paper – Berry Burst, Fresh Florals DSP, Whisper White

Accessories – Ribbon, Lots to Love Box Framelits, Duet Banner Punch, Everyday Label Punch  (held over from the Holiday Catalog)

Hope you enjoyed this cute little box and ideas for contents. I’ve been trying to come up with a candy to put inside. It needs to be flat…maybe a couple Ghirardelli Squares. Please contact me if you think of other items to fit in this little box.

Happy Stamping!        Donna

You know how much I like the Quilt Builder Framelits…well…they aren’t just for Christmas! Today’s card is a Thank You card highlighting the Quilt Builder Framelits and the Quilt Top Embossing Folder.

I know I’ve been stuck on Night of Navy but I love the combination with Lemon Lime Twist and Marina Mist.
