Fun Cards

Hello Stampers!

I have a couple fun cards for you today. I didn’t design these…we had a meeting at my upline’s house and we made these. They are so neat I wanted to share them with you.

This card was designed by Peggy Noe (my upline).

This card was made using the new Meant To Be Stamp Set and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits. Those gorgeous cut out hearts were made from the Sale-A-Bration Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheets. The solid heart was run through the Big Shot using the Lace Dynamic Embossing Folder after it was cut out.

Isn’t that embossing folder awesome on the foil!

Here’s another card we made – this one designed by fellow demo Robin Daus.

Really cute, huh!  Robin taught us how to do the mirror image…so easy.

The background was embossed with the Dot to Dot Embossing Folder and the frogs from the Sale-A-Bration So Hoppy Together Stamp Set.

So you now have a couple ideas for making cards using new products from the Occasions Catalog and some freebies from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.

Have fun and Happy Stamping!     Donna

Oval Lock Gate Fold

Hello Stampers!  Hope this post finds you all in good health and warm. Here in San Diego we are having a cold spell (for us) and lots of rain (hooray). The weather is crazy all over. Stay warm and dry and healthy!

Today I have a really neat version of the Gate Fold. I got the idea from Dawn Griffith. We made this card in one of my classes and it was a hit because it is so different.

Here are some photos…

Here is the card semi closed.

Starting to open the card up.

Open all the way to view the inside sentiment.

I love the way this card turned out and it’s so unique.

Here are the measurements:

Base – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 score at 2 1/8 on one side and fold the other side to meet; also one piece 3 x 4 to cut out the oval frame

Whisper White – 4 1/8 x 5 3/8; (2) 2 x 5 3/8; 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 for oval

DSP – (2) 1 3/4 x 5

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Daisy Delight, Southern Serenade

Ink – So Safron, Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, DSP

Accessories – Layering Ovals Framelits, Iridescent Sequins

I hope you’ll try this fold and there are so many beautiful new colors and DSP sheets I know the possibilities are endless.

Enjoy and have fun making this card. Until my next post…Happy Stamping!     Donna

Thank You Tunnel Card

Hello Stampers!

Now is the time to thank all those wonderful people who gave you gifts…so here’s a very cute card you can whip up!

I love this fold and I love the way the leaves turned out. They came from Healing Hugs Stamp Set. The message came from Thankful Thoughts Stamp Set.

Here are the directions to make this tunnel card:

Base – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 DO NOT SCORE YET at the 4 1/4 (You will want to cut out your oval in the DSP first, line it up on your card base, stamp your sentiment and then you can score your card base.)

Tunnel – DSP – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2  – score both end at 2 1/8 and center fold at 4 1/4 (After you cut out the oval and score, fold on your score lines to make and accordion fold, then ONLY glue the two side flaps to the card base lining up the edges.)

Front – DSP – 4 1/4 x 5 1/2; Solid Color – 1 x 5 1/2 and 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 for the oval; small piece of whisper white for the oval sentiment

You can do so much with this fold…and the many DSP designs. That is what I LOVE about Stampin’ Up! – EVERYTHING coordinates!

Give this easy fold a try…I think you’ll like it as much as I do. Have fun!

Until next time…Happy Stamping!     Donna

Tin Tile Birthday/Thank You

Hello Stampers! Today I have a couple cards using the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder. That folder is FANTASTIC! These cards are quick and easy but they are so brilliant.

Isn’t this so stunning!  I used the Happy Birthday Thinlits.

It just shimmers and shines!

Here’s the Thank You version. I used the Thank You Thinlits on this one.

I also used the Embossing Folder on the flap of the envelope. It really adds some pizzazz!

I used straight corners on this one and you may have noticed I rounded the corners on the Birthday Card. I think rounded corners softens the look.

Can you imagine how awesome this embossing folder would look with the Copper Foil!

All you need to make these cards is Whisper White and Black Cardstock, Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder, Happy Birthday Thinlit and Thank You Thinlit.

My wish for you all of you is to have a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!

Happy Stamping!     Donna
