Cottage Greetings Sympathy

I pulled out the Cottage Greetings Card Kit and of course I decided to do something different with the cards. I used the kit base card and envelope with silver liner but then got creative. It has taken me a while to use the Rose Garden Thinlits but now I’m in love!¬†

First I ran the Thinlits through in black to get the outline. Next I used Delightful Dijon to cut out the rose but this time kept the inner pieces and not the outline. Last I cut out the inner part of the leaves with Mint Macaron. It was like putting a puzzle together – but I was smart enough to take out each piece as I adhered it. If I do this technique again I think I’ll use a bit of sponging to get depth in the flower and leaves.

I have to admit this is impressive – even my husband thought it was “really nice”! ūüôā

Wedding Wishes

It’s getting close to that time of year when we celebrate a lot of¬†weddings¬†so I revised the Cottage Greetings Card Kit to meet my needs. It’s a great kit as is but you can also do so much more with it.

I added the decorative corners with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch and used silver embossing powder for the sentiment.

Here’s the inside sentiment again Silver Embossing and popped up on Silver Foil Paper. This is a perfect sentiment.¬†

One of the great things about this kit is it includes the Silver Foil envelope liners. Also the base card came from the kit. I love it!

Quick and easy! You should really consider this kit and others. You can follow the directions or go off and create with the kit as your starting point. My next kit project is the Tin of Cards. It has been sitting here since the Annual Catalog came out!
