Bermuda Bay Hearts – Birthday Card

Hello Stampers…today I have a card that was inspired by Kristal’s Cards (a fellow Stampin’ Up! Demo). She actually used it for a Valentine’s Card but by changing the colors I made it into a birthday card.

I’m very happy about how this card came together.  I have the polka dot paper adhered flat but some of the ladies in my class popped up the white cut out and it looked super. We also popped up the little sentiment. To add a bit more bling I used pearl sequins with a rhinestone in the center.

Added the white on the inside for writing a message and the little glitter heart just adds bling.

This is such a fun card to make…try in other color combinations.

High Flying Birthday

Hello Stampers! Today I have a little whimsical card. My cousin’s husband used to fly planes and his birthday is coming up. I got the idea from Sherri Eddleblute and added my own touches.

I couldn’t resist and thought this was just so cute. I’m pretty sure he’ll like it.

Here’s a close up of the plane…

Punch art is so much fun. It’s amazing what can be done with a few simple punches!

Products Used:

Stamp Set – Teeny  Tiny Wishes

Paper – Whisper White, Basic Black, Pacific Point

Accessories – Elegant Dots Embossing Folder, 1 3/8″ Circle Punch, 1″ Circle Punch, 1/2″ Circle Punch, Word Window Punch

I know I had promised another card using the Inside the Lines DSP today but I had so much fun making this card I just had to share it right away. I’ll get busy and work on another Water Pencil card for Friday!

Have a very Happy Valentines Day!

Until Friday…Happy Stamping!

Batman and Ninjas

Hello crafters! Recently my grandson celebrated his 6th birthday. He has been crazy about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for a couple of years but recently he is favoring Batman. I needed to make a card from my husband and I and also one from my mom, his great-grandma, so…I made one of each and he was tickled pink!

Batman 1

Batman is made with the Ovals Collection Thinlits and then I used the Word Window Punch to cut out for his wings. I like the Sparkle Embossing Folder for the background.

Batman 2

It’s so simple but he loved it.

Now here’s the Ninjas…just as easy.

Ninjas 1

This time I used an oval punch and circle punch then used the Word Window Punch to make the scarves. The google eyes are too cute.

Ninjas 2

It’s amazing what you can do with punches and framelits! I have seen so many cute little animals made from the Bundle of Foxy Friends and Fox Builder Punch in the Annual Catalog page 57. Plus there’s an adorable Host set in the Holiday Catalog using both the Owl Builder and Fox Builder Punches.

Gosh…the summer is over for the school children. My grandchildren start back on Monday. Enjoy the last of the summer vacation and…

Happy Stamping!

Punch Bunny Easter Card

I have been wanting to make a card with a bunny for years. I found this adorable bunny on Pinterest and I just love the way it turned out.

Punch Bunny Easter

I think I’ll put ribbon or a strip of paper (maybe DSP) to separate the Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi on my next card. It’s a great card for the grandchildren.

Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Birthday Blossoms, Rose Wonder, Delightful Dozen (Retired)

Ink – Crumb Cake, Soft Sky

Paper – Whisper White, Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette, Basic Black

Accessories – 1″ Circle Punch (1 in Whisper White), 3/4″ Circle Punch (2 in Whisper White), 1 3/4″ Circle Punch (1 in Whisper White), 1 3/4″ Oval Punch (4 in Whisper White and 1 in Pink Pirouette cut in half), Word Window Punch (1 in black cut in half), Rose Garden Thinlits, Honeycomb Embossing Folder, White Gel Pen, Project Life Pen 0.1

Try this delightful little guy out for yourself. Once I had all the pieces I sponged the edges of the Whisper White with Crumb Cake to give more depth. I popped up the top of bunny with dimensionals but adhered the paws directly to the Wild Wasabi. The sentiment is also popped up. I added a pink bow but you could go crazy with embellishments on this bunny. If you have the Sale-A-Bration set Pedal Pusher you might find a way to use some of those little stamps to add on.

Please share your bunny creations with me and I’ll post them on my blog.

Until my next post…Happy Stamping!

Give Thanks Sheltering Tree

Sheltering Tree, Give Thanks

Another September Class card. I LOVE trees and fall is the perfect time to celebrate trees. The stamp set Sheltering Tree is also very versatile (as I mentioned in my last post about the Happy Scenes SS). Not only is there a rake but also a swing and bike along with a few sentiments, grass and snow flakes. It is one GREAT set. Just take a look on page 89 of the annual catalog for some ideas.

To make this card I used:

Stamp Sets:  Sheltering Tree, And Many More (the little sentiment), A Little Something (leaves)

Ink:  Wild Wasabi, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Delightful Dijon, Early Espresso and Marina Mist

Paper:  Very Vanilla, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip

Accessories:  Word Window Punch

There is one more card we made so watch for that post coming soon.

Happy Stamping!
