You’re Inspiring

Hello Stampers…hope spring has finally sprung where you live. Here in San Diego we’re still getting rain and that is unreal!

Today I have a lovely card for you to make for almost any occasion. I used the You’re Inspiring stamp set which is retiring as of June 3rd. I love these daffodils and this is a set I will not part with for quite a while.

Of course I had to use Daffodil Delight and it’s the perfect color!  I have been working on my photos and decided to give up on my camera and just use my phone. I can now take photos on my phone and quickly upload them to my computer. I really like the look so much better.

Fancy Fold Petal Palette

Hi Stampers…I told you I’d have more cards using the Petal Palette Stamp Set! I made this one as a Mother’s Day Card but it could be used for so many occasions.

Here’s the front  – then lift the flower panel to the right…

Now lift the left panel…

And there’s the whole inside!

This is such a lovely card because of the fold. It’s not difficult at all.

Base = 4 1/4″ x 9″   Score at 3 1/2″ Pink

Front DSP = 3 1/4″ x 4″

Inside (black) = 3″ x 9″   Score at 4 1/2″

Inside Front = Pink 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″; Whisper White 2 1/2″ x 4″ (stamp on the white)

Inside Left = 4 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ Pink

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Petal Palette; You’re Inspiring

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black; Rose Red

Paper – Pink Pirouette; Whisper White; Black; Petal Passion DSP

This is a great fold that you can use with any occasion card. Try it out and I think you will use it often. 🙂

Have a wonderful week and Happy Stamping!    Donna

You’re Inspiring Birthday

Hello Stampers!  I have another favorite stamp set…You’re Inspiring.  Also tried a new technique.

These lovely daffodils are from the You’re Inspiring Stamp Set.  I tried the technique of cutting out parts of the image and placing the oval die behind them to get the overlap of the flowers…I love it! The flowers, stems and leaves are actually colored with Stampin’ Write Markers.

The inside sentiment is taken from the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set. If you have this set…go back and revisit it. There are so many great stamps within this set.

The background has some texture by using the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder. I used my flower rounder on the oval so that it puffed out in the middle and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals only in the center. The look is great – raised center and flowers over the edge of the oval.

Hope you enjoyed this card and will try out this technique yourself.  Have a GREAT week!   Happy Stamping!    Donna

Happy Easter with Blossoming Basket

Hello Stampers.  It’s Easter already…time just flies by.  In honor of Sale-A-Bration ending tomorrow (March 31) I’m using the beautiful SAB Free item Blossoming Basket. I’m sure I’ll be using this long after SAB ends…and for years to come.

Don’t you love the Basket Weave Embossing Folder that comes with the Blossoming Basket! When I use it again I’ll leave more of the Basket Weave showing so that the recipient can enjoy the texture more.

Of course I used our wonderful Stampin’ Blends to color the basket and flowers. Notice how nicely the light and dark Blends work?  I stamped the image with Crumb Cake and I really like the light outline it gives. I think that a black outline is just too dark for my taste.

Did you notice the shadow under the white piece? I popped up the whole piece with Foam Adhesive Strips. It really adds to the dimension.

Stampin’ Up Products Used:

Stamp Sets – Blossoming Basket (SAB), You’re Inspiring

Ink – Crumb Cake, Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Whisper White, So Saffron

Accessories – Basket Weave Embossing Folder (SAB), Foam Adhesive Strips, Stampin’ Blends

This is the basic card…I think I might add some bling and/or ribbon to “jazz” it up.  I usually make cards for my classes that are basic and then have some embellishments available for my stamping friends to add to their creations.  Some of the gals changed the direction of the layout from landscape to portrait and it looked great.  Also some cut down the white with the basket so that more of the embossing folder would show.

Try this card and change it up and be creative. Then send me an email with the photo of your creation and I will definitely post it.

Saved the best photo for last!

Have a wonderful week and Happy Stamping!    Donna 🙂
