Powder Pink Birthday

Hello Stampers! This month the theme for my classes was Birthday cards. Many of the participants asked for more masculine ones or cards that would be suitable for anyone. I had to have just one fluff card and here it is. 🙂

I absolutely LOVE this Happy Birthday die – the font, the size – this die has it all. I used the new In Color Powder Pink and it was a big hit.

I used the circle I cut out from the front for the sentiment on the inside. I used silver embossing powder. I love the Stitched Framelits, they give all the shapes that extra touch. I added some Fresh Fig flowers for contrast. I used the Washi Tape from Paper Pumpkin on the corner of the envelope.

Here’s a close up of the sentiment.

Eastern Beauty Tri-fold

Hello Stampers!

Today I have a very cool tri-fold card in Berry Burst using one of my favorite sets…Eastern Beauty.

I have really liked this bundle since it’s early release. Berry Burst is such an elegant color for me. The Garden Trellis Embossing Folder is so versatile! I think you’ll be seeing it a lot on my cards.  Those little sparkles of gold are Metallic Enamel Shapes.

Here’s the card closed…you can see that the medallion is keeping the left flap closed.

Here I’ve pulled the front panel out from the medallion and it is starting to open the card.

This photo shows the card fully opened. Of course I had to use the Happy Birthday Thinlit (another winner in my book!).

Paper – Berry Burst, Black, Whisper White

The photos just don’t do justice to this card. I’m so pleased with the way it turned out. Hope you like it too!

Tic Tac Toe 7.1.17

Hello my dear stampers! I’m joining a new sharing group called Tic Tac Toe. We are given a tic tac toe board to use to create a new card. This is my first attempt  – my row is Blue, Embossing, Happy.  I thought it sounded like fun.

I wanted to create a card that could be used for a male without being totally masculine. It’s not too fussy and I like the way it turned out.

You may notice that the front panel has NO stamping! Don’t worry…I’ll use some stamping on the inside…right now I’m not sure who this is for so I’ll hold off on the sentiment.

The Happy Birthday is ‘popped up’ with Stampin’ Dimensionals. We now have Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals as well as Foam Adhesive Strips. That makes life a lot easier!

Since we’re about to celebrate the 4th of July I thought this card could have some patriotic colors by filling in the spaces of the Swirly Scribbles die with Real Red. Just a thought. 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Paper – Night of Navy, Marina Mist, Whisper White, Gold Glimmer Paper

Accessories – Sparkly Embossing Folder, Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, Happy Birthday Thinlit, Star Punch from Itty Bitty Accents (R)

I’m very pleased with how this card turned out. Of course you will think of ways to step it up to meet your needs and likes.

Let me know what you think of my Tic Tac Toe card.

Happy Stamping!     Donna

Retro Mosaic Madness

Hello dear stampers! Today I’m going back in time with a retro card I made up for a friend’s birthday. I used the retired Mosaic grouping of products – Mosaic Madness Stamp Set, Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder and Mosaic Punch. I almost sold this group but changed my mind and I’m so happy I kept it.

There are a lot of details in this card but that’s what makes it so unique. I also used the retired Scallop Trim Border Punch (another one I’ll be keeping for a long, long time).

So…do you see the NEW Happy Birthday Thinlit? Can you tell I’m crazy about this die! This card has a lot of old and a bit of new.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Mosaic Madness (R)

Ink – Bermuda Bay

Paper – Whisper White, Bermuda Bay

Now I need to explore this same idea with the Eastern Palace Suite. Did you order yours yet?

Until my next blog…Happy Stamping!
