Washi Congrats

Hello Stampers…today I’m using a bit of Washi Tape to make a congratulations card.

I’m not big on torn Washi so I cut all my pieces. That’s the great thing about cardmaking…you make it the way you want. I have really been using the Balloon Bouquet Punch a great deal…it makes such festive balloons.

That bit of Silver Washi Tape is now retired but it just fit this card so perfectly I had to use it.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Stamp Set – Thoughtful Banners

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Tip Top Taupe, Melon Mambo, Black, Silver Foil, Whisper White

Accessories – Duet Banner Punch, Balloom Bouquet Punch, White Bakers Twine, Pop of Pink Washi Tape, Silver Washi Tape

By popping up the balloons and the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals the card has depth. If you have a bunch of Washi Tape laying around you really should keep it handy and add a strip or two or more to your next card. I had forgotten all about how Washi Tape adds to a card.

This is a great card to use for either male or female. I like that since I really don’t make many masculine type cards.

Hope you enjoyed today’s card and will try to make some cards using Washi Tape. Remember…once you create your own card, send me a photo via email and you could be my next Guest Stamper!

Until my next post…Happy Stamping!

  1. No problem – I’m about to be abroad for a couple of weeks too, so I know how it can be 🙂 Yes I will definitely try and get some more to experiment with. I did have a look at some of your others, and they are lovely too!

  2. Hi Lady Joyful! Thanks for your comment. Sorry for the delay but I was out of the country for 24 days and I’m still trying to catch up. I think if you try experimenting with Washi tape you will love it. I did a few Washi cards a while back. Just enter Washi tape and see if they come up.

  3. What a sweet card! That’s such a great idea for using up washi. I actually don’t have a lot of washi (relatively new to card making) and those that I do have don’t really coordinate with eachother too much… I guess I’ll have to get some more to try this out 😉
