Welcome Stampers! I’ve been busy getting ready for our BIG event here in San Diego for Stampin’ Up! San Diego is one of the Local On Stage locations. We will get a sneak peek at the new Annual Catalog which will be ready for ordering on June 1, 2017. This is a very exciting time of the year anticipating all the new products and colors. I am part of Mary Fish’s Stampin’ Pretty Pals and we are gathering after the event for dinner together. We will do a card swap so I thought I’d show you my swap card today.
I belong to a small stamp club and one of the gals demonstrated making cards with Washi tape. Well, I fell in love with one of her designs so I adapted it to our Stampin’ Up! products.
I used the Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape bundle to create this with Melon Mambo and Black cardstock.
The front panel is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the circle punched out to see the gold embossed message. I was delighted with our Washi tape – there was no rippling or peeling away after I punched. This was not the case with the Washi we used at stamp club.
I made 25 of these cards for our swap and I enjoyed making each and every one of them.
Stampin’ Up! products used:
Stamp Set – Swan Lake
Ink – Versa Mark
Paper – Melon Mambo, Black, Whisper White
Accessories – Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape, Gold Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, 1 3/4 Circle Punch
There are so many wonderful things to do with Washi Tape, you really must give it a try. I’m planning on making more cards using Washi Tape. I love it!
This is a quick post and on Monday I’ll show you the card that I demonstrated for our Pals Make and Take today. Three of us San Diego demonstrators are hosting this event and we will provide the Make and Take cards for 20 visiting demonstrators to make. I will also share the cards presented by Peggy Noe and Linda Foster in future posts.
On Monday I will share what I learned at the On Stage event! (At least what I will be able to share at this time.) Until then…
Happy Stamping! Donna
