Hello Stampers! Here we are at Friday already. Today I have a Half Fold card for you. It’s quite easy but makes such a cute card.
It looks like a normal card except for that horizontal “line” in the middle of the card.
You only open half of the card. It can stand up for the recipient to display.
I took an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock and cut it at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″. Turned it sideways, starting from the top of the fold cut down 2 1/8″. I then cut across the 5 1/2″ side to remove the top portion. I then added some DSP to each visible piece. I used Layering Squares Framelits to make the Rich Razzleberry square with the flower from Flourishing Phrases stamped in Rich Razzleberry on Whisper White then cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The large pearl adds a little pizzaz.
Then I decided to try some retired DSP…
Same idea but a different center piece and moved to the right a bit.
A very soft subtle card…might be good for a sympathy card. There is enough room on the front where I can put a banner or label. Three Metallic Enamel Shapes add a bit of bling.
Stampin’ Up! Products Used (for main card not the blue one):
Stamp Set – Flourishing Phrases
Ink – Rich Razzleberry
Paper – Blushing Bride, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Blooms and Bliss DSP
Accessories – Layering Squares Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Metallic Enamel Shapes
Try this card out. It’s quite simple but is a bit unusual. These are great cards to make in mass.
Have a great weekend! I’ll be back on Monday with another Easter Card.
Happy Stamping!
