Balloon Greetings

Hello Stampers! Oh my goodness is it Monday already! Where does the time go? Today I have a lovely balloon card. It is so elegant it can be used for many occasions. I sent one like this but in silver to my male cousin for his big 65th birthday. Hope he likes it! Of course it said Happy Birthday and not Retirement.

We’re making this card in my stamp classes this month. The theme is Easter but not everyone needs 6 Easter cards so I designed some cards that can be used for any occasion. One of the participants asked for Retirement cards so I did this one for her.  Any sentiment can be used with this design.

I really like this sentiment…it is so appropriate for birthdays or retirement. After retiring I found that I had a whole new life and I look forward to each day and year.

I don’t think you can beat black and white with a touch of glitz. It’s classic!

Products Used:

Stamp Set – Wild About Flowers

Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper – Basic Black, Whisper White, Gold Glimmer, Gold Foil

Accessories – Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder (R), Project Life Journaling Pen, Gold Ribbon (R), Balloon Bouquet Punch

As I mentioned at the beginning of the new year – I’m trying to use many of my retired products but there are some (like the Perfect Polka Dot EF) that I can’t live without.  To me, that is one of the best embossing folders ever.

I hope you’ll give this design a try…it’s not difficult and there are no crazy directions to follow! As always…when you create a new card please send me a good photo via email so that you can be my guest stamper.

I also want to remind everyone that my blog is strictly for posting my creations. If you want the latest news about Stampin’ Up! and details for promotions then please send me your email address so that I can add you to my Crafty Cardmaker Weekly Newsletter list.

Take care of yourself and stay healthy.  Until my next post on Friday, Happy Stamping!
